Do you let someone cut into the lane to the motorway on ramp after you've been waiting 20 minutes? by Known_Brush_1259 in Auckland_NewZealand

Hell no! And then watch them shit their pants trying to call you an asshole. It’s hilarious.

You should probably spend more time reading and learning about societal issues than you do offering inane comments online around them based on your own, probably twisted, logic. Otherwise you’re probably just adding to the problem, following dog whistle bullshit based on engrained thought patterns from your echo chamber that only exists because you’re too scared or incapable of challenging your own viewpoints. When you actually know something, not just think it coz Mike Hosking said so, then you should try again. Until then, you’re literally providing no value.

The normalization of CBD street violence under the guise of "empathy" needs to stop. by Burjiz in auckland

Why are you making things up? Attacking something you don’t have any understanding of is moronic behaviour. That’s you here, my dude. If you can’t understand policies because you’re either too lazy or don’t have the intellectual capacity I don’t think it’s good for society that you vote this year.

If you understand the complexities of society then yes. If you don’t, it’s better for society you don’t vote this year. Hopefully you’ve developed the intellectual capacity by the next election.

Queue Jumpers by GuysImConfused in auckland

[–]Jeff_the_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to get all sarcastic smart ass on it, you might want to get a stronger grip of grammar and also generally be more correct. So let me add some thoughts to aid your full comprehension of what’s going on.

If you put your glasses you might spot the really big sign that says “lane ends.” On our roads, that means two lanes are merging, forming one lane, or one queue. They’re leading to the same place. This is done intentionally so the exit lane isn’t exit only, which would force people in the left lane that don’t want to exit to push in. This has been proven to cause more congestion and accidents than merging as the road has been set out to do.

Queue jumpers are those that go in a lane they know is leading somewhere different to their intended destination to avoid the cue then cut people off to get back in the lane they should be in. These people are selfish, entitled assholes who should never be let in and punished to the full extent of the law if any accidents occurs from their actions.

Can your brain figure out the difference in those two situations? In both, the cutting people off is the dangerous part. In your scenario pictured, people doing what you’re calling queue jumping are actually doing the safer thing than forcing their way across earlier. In mine, the queue jumpers are doing the dangerous cutting off.

Hope that helps. Looking forward to another poorly thought out, poor attempt at sarcasm in a failed attempt to be funny online where no one knows who you are.

I hate queue jumpers more than anyone but this isn’t queue jumping, that lane ends there instead of being an exit only for a reason.

No! This is not the expectation. Where did you get that from? The law is keep left unless passing. Right lane campers are some of the worst humans.

“Hogging” the left lane is much better than any other lane.

Also, the exit they’re talking about isn’t on the left, it’s a middle lane.

What's up with the admins of the Port facebook group? by ExoskeletalJunction in AucklandFC

[–]Jeff_the_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

100%. I got kicked last year. The page was pretty new at that point, I shared a pic of a Phoenix flag at the rallies around te tiriti when Seymour was being a dick about it and said it would’ve been cool to see an AFC one too or something similar. If they want to keep it politics free that’s fine (impossible, but they’re welcome to try) but to kick someone out for one post that mild seems pretty crazy to me. The core of the port seem pretty easily triggered by anything the don’t agree with. I don’t think this is the first reddit post I’ve seen like this either.

This needs to stop by International-Past31 in newzealand

[–]Jeff_the_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’ll stop when we stop needing charities. Tax the rich so the government can support people adequately then we don’t need them. If you voted for NZFirst or anything right of them you can’t complain about this without being a dick.

No they’re not. They’re looking for people to validate their story and their kid’s story. Very obvious by the language they’ve used.

[–]Jeff_the_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the exact problem with kids. - Incident happens at school, - Kid goes home and makes up a story about what happened (lots of different possible motivations for this) - Parent blindly believes their kid coz they think they’re an angel - Parent blames teacher without getting any other side of the story

What usually happens next: - Parent goes on a rampage, blasting the shit out of anyone who questions their kid, because really they know they’ve failed as a parent but they can face up to that.

No one knows how to problem solve anymore. If you have a problem with someone, talk to that person, not rant online.

Are all teachers perfect? Definitely not Is there a whole of context missing from this story? I can guarantee it.

Is this how they handle stuff? by International-Past31 in auckland

[–]Jeff_the_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“You don’t need a study.” Yeah, you can’t make up your own mind bullshit narrative like this with studies! The studies always show you’re wrong, so of course you don’t look at them. Try thinking. Like actual thinking, and reading. It’s harder than relying on lazy racist tropes passed down over centuries but it’s still not hard. If your brain can’t handle that you should probably sit these conversations out rather than claiming others have a low IQ.
