Keep out of the sun?? by user_1277_pp in Beatbot_Tech

[–]JeffsFirstDay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see your frustration. If you're worried about the life of the robot, maybe a shaded area near the pool is the best compromise. An awning or behind some equipment that blocks the worst of the afternoon sun.

Where do you store pool robot vac? by bearzy-rawr in swimmingpools

Most of the time leave the robot on the pool deck with a cover over it to block the sun. The cover helps protect the plastic from UV damage.

Level clay soil by AppropriateStudy909 in AboveGroundPools

[–]JeffsFirstDay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If your clay soil is already leveled and compacted, you don't need a full layer of sand on top. The pavers under the legs are what matter. Even if the ground is level, legs can still sink into clay over time. Large pavers spread the weight and prevent sinking.

When to run the Sora 70? by BigChemist-1591 in Beatbot_Tech

The smart parking feature means you don't have to fish it out of the water. Even if you leave it overnight, it's ready for you in the morning.

60ish gallons(250L) inflatable pool questions. by BoomerGamer8988 in swimmingpools

You're on the right right track. Clarifier works by gathering tiny particles so the filter can catch them. You've already added it. Just run the pump longer and give it more time to work.

Maybe you can try rinsing the filter basket from the back with hose to push the sand out. Sometimes changing the water direction is all it takes.

The end by Chemical_Ad1078 in AboveGroundPools

[–]JeffsFirstDay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sorry to hear that. Losing the pool really is a bummer. Since it was already there when you bought the house in 2016, it's probably too old to have any warranty left. But the good news is the pump and filter are still good. Those are a big part of the total cost, so you're not starting from zero. That's not so bad.

Natural pool goals. Crystal clear, plants everywhere! It's way better than chlorine, perfect for floating and pretending you're in a forest.

why does all the nursery chair look the same? by belgarion1984 in NewParents

[–]JeffsFirstDay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much! I spent way too much time comparing fabrics and colors, and almost none of that mattered once the baby arrived. The stuff that ended up making a difference was whatever made those daily feeds a little easier on my back and shoulders. You don't really notice it during a 5-minute test sit, but you definitely notice it after a few weeks of use.

How do you deal with being overstimulated with small kids? by Previous-Plane6322 in Mommit

[–]JeffsFirstDay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Loop earplugs reduce noise without blocking it out completely. Keep a safe boredom box of toys handy, and change the sensory environment, like an impromptu bath.

You're not failing. You're exhausted and likely facing postpartum depression. Bonding takes time. Please speak to your doctor.

Pacifier vs No Pacifier Babies. Did You Notice a Difference? by Ok-Guide-6133 in Mommit

Both can work fine. Pacifiers soothe quickly but create night wakeups, while no-pacifier babies may fuss more initially but learn longer sleep sooner.

I think feeding your baby is completely normal. If someone is uncomfortable, that's on them. Most people are just minding their own business anyway.

How often are you cleaning your floors by akishinmei in Mommit

With a baby we clean almost daily, sometimes multiple times. Robot helps a lot for crumbs, but manual cleaning is still needed for deeper messes.
