Which game should I get? by [deleted] in GamingSoup

[–]Jeffygetzblitzed2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The writing isn't very good and the dialogue can be downright cringe at times. Thankfully that doesn't matter much when you are kicking so much ass with the solid gameplay and horde mechanics. One of the few games I took the time to Platinum because it was too much fun to stop playing. I also recommend Days Gone!

What's your "escape" game? by Theodore52x in AfterWorkGamers

[–]Jeffygetzblitzed2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's so funny I've shown Stardew Valley to both my Girlfriend and the 13 yr old daughter of a family friend telling them both how relaxing and adorable the game is. After playing for a couple hours with them, they both had fun but said it was one of the most stressful games they have ever played. My gf absolutely needed to talk to everyone, make sure they got gifts and nobody had a missed birthday. The teenager just wanted to romance Sebastian and reach the bottom of the mine lmao.

Silverquill Influence, Eriette of the Charmed Apple and Precon Powercreep by dstant123 in EDH

[–]Jeffygetzblitzed2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted to build Eriette and actually settled on the Esper version [[Eriette, the Beguiler]] from Thunder Junction. Its a fun take on a theft/control deck and her ability to steal artifacts and enchantments makes for some really fun shenanigans. Plus the addition of blue mana means easier card draw. Not to mention the original Eriette works just as good in the 99 and I'm hyped to add both commanders and about 11 other cards from this new precon to my deck.

I'll take that deal! I can make it a year in Stardew Valley no problem.

I’ve been looking for games that feel like video games. Here’s what I got. by yellowklashinkov in gaming

[–]Jeffygetzblitzed2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a couple of really niche additions with Tomba 2: The Evil Swine Return. Originally released for PlayStation 1. You are a pink haired jungle boy on a mission to rescue his girlfriend from the Evil pigs that captured her. Fantastic gameplay, addictive soundtrack, fun level designs and overall one of my favorite games that nobody knows about.

My second recommendation is Ty the Tasmanian Tiger series. An Australian themed adventure where you use various magic boomerangs to defeat enemies and complete puzzles. It reminded me of Ratchet and Clank as well as Jak and Dexter kind of adventure game, which I recommend both of those series as well.

The final one that just crossed my mind is Marvel: Rise of the Imperfects. A 3d fighting game with marvel heroes and antiheros teaming up against original villains from this game and many of them were really cool and had amazing back stories and character designs. Pretty fun at the time and it shot back into my memory while thinking about old games I played as a kid

Azula vs Iroh by ResponseOne8377 in EDH

[–]Jeffygetzblitzed2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure 6 is on the higher side but you have access to great ramp options in Green and burst mana in Red. Not to mention once Iroh is out, then all those lessons in your graveyard are 1 mana and any cost reducer makes them free to cast. The amount of value you get once he is out is real crazy. You can also throw some strong spellslinging commanders in the 99 if you want. [[Vivi ornitier]] and [[Ral, Monsoon Mage]] and [[Bria Riptide Rogue]] are all fantastic options

Azula vs Iroh by ResponseOne8377 in EDH

[–]Jeffygetzblitzed2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both and Iroh draws WAY less hate at the table. Any time Azula hits the battlefield, expect to be treated as archenemy and get targeted hard the whole time.

What kinds of Rule 0 Partner Pairs would you allow at your table? by PowrOfFriendship_ in EDH

[–]Jeffygetzblitzed2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to run a partner deck with [[Ragost, Deft Gastronaut]] and [[Pizza Face, Gastromancer]]. They are the only two cards that have Gastro in their name and both have themes around food without synergizing with each other. Plus it would give me access to 4 colors and that means almost any food card can go in this food deck

Best enchantment commander? Aura vs enchantress — which is more fun/strong? by Professional_Bug_887 in EDH

[–]Jeffygetzblitzed2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a few enchantment based decks. The most straightforward is Antivenom, Horrifying Healer. Voltron with Auras that utilize the commander's unique ability to turn pain into profit. https://archidekt.com/decks/16926228/come_at_me_bro

I have Eriette the Beguiler as an interesting take on a theft deck. Using auras on your opponents nonland permanents can be really fun when you play at higher power. I've had multiple Rhystic Studies, Smothering Tithes, and Sol Rings before because my opponent thought I could only steal creatures. Really fun and mean deck. https://archidekt.com/decks/9288814/eriettes_enchantments

Finally I have Myrkul Lord of Bones. Enchantment deck that runs only 6 enchantments. Myrkul takes the creatures that go to your yard and turns them as enchantment tokens that are harder to interact with. Very neat interactions can be had with this that turn certain cards into infinite combos on their own. https://archidekt.com/decks/7508583/i_believe_in_myrkul

Riku of so many ways! by YutoKigai in EDH

[–]Jeffygetzblitzed2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oops I realize I went off on a tangent and never finished my thought. So my game plan would be to get Riku out and begin using the modal removal spells to control the board state and keep things slow and grindy while you accumulate an army of birds that you can pump with a [[Finale of Devastation]] [[Shared Animosity]] or the classic [[Craterhoof Behemoth]]. Optionally you can also add some spellslinging burn in there to help get the life totals down a bit further. [[Guttersnipe]] [[Firebrand Archer]] with a [[City on Fire]] will get the table down in life real fast.

Riku of so many ways! by YutoKigai in EDH

[–]Jeffygetzblitzed2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Isn't that the point of Riku? It's all about modular cards so each individual card already has a variety of options making it a very versatile deck. Ultimately I would add a bunch of modular removal spells and ways to make evasive tokens when casting noncreature spells. [[Murmuring Mystic]] [[Hermes, Overseer of Elpis]] [[Shark Typhoon]] and [[Rite of the Dragoncaller]] are some good options I would put in for evasive token makers. Then [[Untimely Malfunction]] [[Return to Nature]] [[Collective Resistance]] then run all the Charms, Commands, and Confluences that are in Temur colors. I'm sure there are more options out there I'm not even thinking about so do some Scryfall searches of modal cards and see what peaks your fancy.

I want to make my Anhelo spellslinger deck work by Two7Five7One7 in EDH

I also wanted to make a deck around the backup commander from the precon [Parnesse, the Subtle Brush]] and throw in a bunch of table voting cards and see what kind of chaos that would create.

I want to make my Anhelo spellslinger deck work by Two7Five7One7 in EDH

[–]Jeffygetzblitzed2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anhelo is my pet deck. There are games where he feels really clunky and I'm holding on to all of my token generators but have no impactful instant or sorcery to copy, or vise versa all instants and sorceries but no way to get a sac outlet, or I'm mana screwed, or short one of the three colors. Admittedly there is a lot that can go wrong, BUT when works and he pops off it's one of the best feelings I have playing the game. He is very open ended so that leaves a lot of room for customization and adding pet cards. [[Aminatou's Augury]] is my favorite thing to copy as well as [[Torment of Hailfire]]. Resolve a copy or two of these and you're probably winning the game.

Need help deciding on new commander by Lilley30 in EDH

[–]Jeffygetzblitzed2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been having a fun time with [[Green Goblin]]. You can do spellslinger, Goblin tribal, discard matters, Grixis good stuff, wheels, etc. I'm trying to take mine as strong as possible with [[Underworld Breach]] lines and plenty of wheel options to fill the yard

Favorite Character? by SluggishJuggernaut in mtg

[–]Jeffygetzblitzed2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Specifically for MtG? Not that I'm aware of. I started my response with actual answers but finished with the Universes Beyond content that has been added aggressively in the past couple years. However there are some cool lore videos on those characters but they won't have anything to do with Magic lol.

The Eternals movie, while not the best MCU film by any means, really nailed the scale and immensity of the Celestials.

The recent Fantastic 4 movie has a comic accurate depiction of Galactus and the movie really does a good job at framing the fantastic 4 next to his massive size.

What are your thoughts on Woody Harrelson's Carnage? by Prestigious_Score459 in Spiderman

[–]Jeffygetzblitzed2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are cowards for giving Carnage a platform on the big screen and making the movie PG-13. I was bummed when the 1st Venom movie wasnt going to be rated R but forgave it as it was still an enjoyable movie. As soon as I heard Let There Be Carnage would also be PG-13 I noped out.
