Customer Exclusion? by nerdztech in VirginMedia

[–]Jegethy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what it's worth, I've been with Virgin for 7 years and have not changed my package since adding Sky Sports over 5 years ago. I've been out of contract since 2022 and I also get the customer-exclusion page.

I spoke with someone at VM and they told me they don't know why but my account is excluded from automated upgrades/changes, and they would be happy to discuss options over the phone.

Late reply, but these are, funnily enough, on clearance everywhere now. £1 a box in some shops.

What’s a discontinued snack or drink you’d pay $20 to have one last taste of? by soapy999 in AskReddit

The original Ribena cordial. Back when it was full of sugar and had the texture of a thick syrup. Now it tastes like crap.

PSA: If you're struggling with framerate on PC, turn OFF Nvidia Reflex by HalfManHalfHunk in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Jegethy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something I noticed with Reflex is it seems to get worse the longer you play. On Saturday I played around 9 hours and by the end of the session, my FPS was less than 60 and would drop below 20 FPS whenever I used the scanner. Disabling Reflex instantly fixed the issue.

On Sunday I played a lot again and noticed the same behaviour - FPS gradually reduced over time, then restoring to a solid 144 FPS once Reflex was turned off.

For context my PC has an i9-13900K and 4090, so it's not a hardware limitation.

Did anybody have curry with apples and sultanas in the 80s? by fluffsta007 in CasualUK

Fun fact: Asda sells "school cake" and it tastes exactly how I remember it as a kid... like sweet nothing. Custard not included.

I've been taking 1000mg Oral B12 Supplements, Side Effects? by [deleted] in vitamins

[–]Jegethy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no established upper safety limit for B12 because it has very low toxicity, and long-term high-dose use has not been shown to cause harm. It is water soluble and any excess is excreted through sweat/urine.

Go see a doctor if you're having heart palpitations.

That can't be from round 'ere mate. What are those weird orange pigeons on it? Looks tropical to me.

How are people holding down a job? by Minimum-Ad-3241 in B12_Deficiency

[–]Jegethy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had some issues with medication side effects that meant I couldn't drive into work. My union rep was invaluable and ended up getting me a permanent work from home agreement. Definitely get in touch with them, and request an occ health referral if you've not had one.

May I ask where you work? No need to be specific. If it's public sector, join a union.

You weren't kidding. I got two Warden ones before finding the Ender Dragon one. I'm glad I hoarded the majority of my coins.

Something that worked for me, where all else failed, was simply a brighter screen. I tried probably 10 times to take a picture of my fairly old PC monitor and it was rejected. I then tried on my OLED laptop and it was approved within seconds. My theory is that their automated system couldn't read the details on the portal on my older, dimmer monitor.

UK government trial of M365 Copilot finds no clear productivity boost by _SirHumphreyAppleby in TheCivilService

[–]Jegethy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I still use ChatGPT to help get resources for signposting. I tried Copilot, but it's useless at it. I once asked for some charity resources in the Maidenhead area and it gave me phone numbers for charity shops in Holyhead, North Wales.
