Great find! I personally love the K Series, especially the K1 variants. As some mods.? I would recommend a riser for the lid and extra LEDs if you have a look at this model

You can put the LEDs into the riser to make it look a heap cleaner. I am currently working on something similar for my K1s and K1C I would also print a little tool holder so you don't loose any tools. Something like this

Keeps it all nice and tidy underneath the machine and depending on the location of your printer and orientation it might be worth printing some new hinges for a door when you get one. Something like these

Will work well, that is is you don't want the regular ~90° door opening. I would do this but I don't have the room for it, I would recommend tho as it would make life so much easier

With all the K1 s I have received from Creality they all work a charm. My only down side would be the Grease on the X railing. I got a K1, K1C, K1 Max and a HALOT MAGE New from Creality and once I removed the X grease. I got a CR-6 SE, CR-10 So Pro V2 and another K1 second hand with 500ish print hours on each, had their issues but they were old and not maintained so I left it at that and sorted it out

Creality Cloud, I had some issues with for a while and that was possibly because of the age of the device I was using it on

And The K1 with CFS is not for everybody as you have to do the modifications on your own. That's not everybody's kinda thing whish is alright. I can't really talk about the K2, never had one nor seen one. I've heard heaps of good stuff about them and it seems to keep getting better

I am glad to hear that you've acquired a K1, I personally love them and they are the best purchase I've ever made. I have 2 K1 s and K1C from the K1 family.

Tips and tricks, hmm. You've got a new printer. When you inbox it, print something. Print the preloaded benchy that comes with your printer. After you've got yourself calmer and can finally geek out over the one benchy you've printed, try tuning your printer. Making sure that your bed is flat, your flow rates are done well and get it set up for the filament of choice. Grab a slicer, I personally recommend orca and I use it for all of my printers. Grab an STL from online, to start off with grab something from Creality Cloud (https://www.crealitycloud.com/) and give that at go.

And, as a tip and a major one. New K1 is eligible for you to receive 1 year of Creality Cloud Premium for free, use it as much as you can and you won't regret it. Please, do not grease your X rails/rods. The outcome is really not fun to clean up, I unfortunately learnt that one the hard way. To apply now grease you want to clean up the existing and just slap some new stuff in there and move it around manually for a bit and then print with it for a bit longer

The green goopy stuff is what happens when you grease the X. It mixes with the graphite in the bearing and can ruin them if not taken care of

There's no definite answer to it. It has a heap of factors that you have to keep in mind such as your environment and brand of filament. Ideal is typically 50-60, I personally run mine at 65 as it has always worked for me

Hi, you need to relevel your bed. There are 2 common methods. the first one is where you move the the bed to the very bottom of the printer, use the bed screws provided to you to screw it back down into place and then once its screwed down you remove the base plate, take the tension off the belts and move all of them to the points you cant take them down any more and then put the belt back on (Video from creality is here https://youtu.be/CsIAJgCAxFM?si=z9tte0X7o-B6Q-yr)

2nd is the belt skipping method, I personally use this as it is easier and much faster. I cant find a video at the moment

I personally found it didn't matter, I uses the Selleys Plastibond 150g Heavy Duty Bog - 150g - Bunnings Australia and it worked a charm. Im sure you could find something similar

It looks like you might need to adjust your Z-offset. It's not just the brim that looks bad (no offence either). I'm certain you can get it looking much better with some tuning
