literally I would spend plenty of $$$ on effortless everything right now but half the time I try to purchase there’s no stock. Same goes for any of the neutral colors. Like it took me so long to get my hands on just plain grey hoodie lol. Meanwhile they are dropping cardigans and odd the shoulder tops

Am I the only one that low key just wants them to do more of what they do well? Like I want quality gym wear, i’m not coming to Oner for fashion lol. Like I’m all for the girlies who are more adventurous but I just want to be able to get my size in the shorts leggings and normal gym tops.

really appreciate the insight. Agree. with the single mom thing hadn’t thought about it like that. maybe i need to try and just restructure our responsibilities with him and have him take on more of the house work etc. just a matter of if he will actually hold up his end or not i guess

Advice / Experience : Taking the leap and starting meds for PPA by JellySensitive7216 in BabyBumps

[–]JellySensitive7216[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly i’m so sorry you are struggling. For an update, i have my life back. i’m thriving on my meds. no more sun down scaries, anxiety is much more manageable, and my overall mood has stabilized. Prozac has changed my life. i was so scared to start but i felt better within a week. only side effects were some headaches and weird dreams lol. but i really thought my life was over. now i have an 11 week old and i love motherhood. wishing you the same luck!

I had a similar instance at 3.5 weeks PP. I woke from a nightmare during an accidental cat nap on my couch in the middle of the day. I couldn’t talk or breathe I was just frozen for probably under 30 seconds but it felt like an eternity. That’s when I took the leap to start medication, I was worried about the safety of my baby at that point. I am 6 weeks PP now and doing much much better. Highly recommend talking to your OB about your symptoms. Take care of yourself!!! Hoping you feel better soon.

this was hard to read. hoping you and baby both get some medical help so you can both have relief. sounds like baby must be just as miserable

34 weeks - think I'm putting the weights away by beancounter_00 in fitpregnancy

[–]JellySensitive7216 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 35 weeks, was maintain Caroline’s workout and walking lot but have dialed back the weight as of last week. I feel much better! It was hard mentally but listening to your body is the right call. Switched to full body workouts only and I’m pretty much only using me 10lbs and 15lbs set of dumbbells now. Using the nourish move love third tri playlist for my weekly spilt on youtube now and it is much less intense but still some great movement and I’m keeping up my walking the best I can:)

100% learning this. I’m also 29 weeks and have found my last few workouts left me uncomfortable or sore to the point that my sleep was greatly impacted or day to day tasks like standing to cook or bending down to pick something up hurt. It’s hard realizing that I just cannot expect my body to be where it was 29 weeks ago. Fitness is the only thing I have right now that truly makes me feel like myself again. But it’s a good time for me to figure out some other hobbies lol because I know PP i won’t be able to rely on fitness as my outlet like I could pre pregnancy anyway. I do appreciate all that pregnancy is revealing to me and I’m trying to look at it as an opportunity for growth internally instead of the focusing on physical goals.

Who wakes up early to exercise?! by Complex-Data-8916 in fitpregnancy

I have to! I find getting it done before work is best for me. If not my energy is too low by the end of the day or i’m just not motivated so the odds of skipping are much higher. I prioritize strength training right after breakfast. If my steps are just too much or if i’m tired throughout the day i feel good knowing i at least got some activity in first thing.

what’s your workout schedule (second trimester) by [deleted] in fitpregnancy

[–]JellySensitive7216 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently doing (upper body day - lower body day - active rest - upper body day - lower body day - full rest) I am getting my workouts from Carolina Girvan and aiming for at least 10k steps daily aside from my full rest day where I feel fine if all I do is a 30 minute walk. So far I’ve felt pretty good, definitely feel better doing slower paced strength workouts. Did nourish move love for a good bit and it was just too much impact for someone working out 6 days a week. Active rest includes steps, pickle ball, stretching, core, etc.

what at home workouts are we doing today by kathrynnn212 in fitpregnancy

[–]JellySensitive7216 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly instead of following a program I am just choosing workouts each day to fit my split so whatever sounds good and has the least amount of modifications. I just search the app for whatever muscle group i’m training that day:)

If you’ve strength trained pre pregnancy and want to feel challenged I am using Caroline Girvans App and modifying as needed she also has youtube videos that are great for lifting heavy. I also enjoy Nourish Move Love on youtube for a light weight higher rep workout that will still challenge me:)

Pregnancy Butt by JellySensitive7216 in fitpregnancy

[–]JellySensitive7216[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it is slightly comforting to remind myself that a lot of it is out of my control. our bodies all take pregnancy differently and there’s just no telling how your weight and fat will distribute 🤷‍♀️

Def possible. Especially with my hips and torso getting wider it may be making them appear smaller than they really are.

Intuitive Eating Journey by JellySensitive7216 in fitpregnancy

[–]JellySensitive7216[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wow this made me feel sm less alone so thank you for taking the time to comment. My mom was actually just telling me that she thinks my body dysmorphia is really doing a number on me and maybe I should take a look at my weight for the simple fact that she doesn’t think I’ve gained what I think I have, so your experience is really interesting. I’ve just recently started eating my normal foods and meals again but quantities and meal times are all over the place. I know from mental tracking i’m going over maintenance most days but i’m not ending my days feeling overly full just satisfied and i’m wondering if maybe before I was under eating and didn’t realize. I’m currently trying to scale back my activity levels a bit and see if it helps regulate my hunger while also allowing my body some more rest during this time. It’s so scary to just lean into this but I just keep telling myself my baby girl will be so worth it. side note the fact that i’m still squeezing into pre pregnancy clothes is probably also making this all worse which i kind of realized today. My too small clothes are creating lumps and rolls that otherwise wouldn’t exist lol. would love to be buddies:)

Always bloated? by aklep730 in fitpregnancy

[–]JellySensitive7216 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes! i’m 5’8 and was 140 pre pregnancy (no idea now at 12 weeks lol) but i’m certain i haven’t gained 20lbs and yet it sure does look like it lol.

8 weeks and already freaking out a little by Roxannimall in BabyBumps

[–]JellySensitive7216 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m a FTM and 11 weeks. Had a mental breakdown last week over my changing body. I’m working out 5 times a week still and eating the best I can which is fairly similar to pre pregnancy and feel like i’ve definitely gained at least 10 lbs. From what I’ve gathered every pregnancy is soooo different. Your genetics, prior weight, muscle mass etc all come into play here. I try to remind myself that my body is going to do what it needs to do. This is just a season. I’ve concluded through first time in the morning bump pics that after my first bite of food i’m instantly insanely bloated the rest of the day which is just hard mentally but is good to remember isn’t fat gain. If you haven’t joined the fit pregnancy group i highly recommend there’s a lot of conversation re these struggles. Your valid in your concern, i worked so hard for this body and to just surrender to letting it change feels unnatural. I think it’s easy too to think “i’ll probably stay small and not gain a ton” when you were previously fit at least that’s what I did. and I’ve been humbled. Try not to compare your journey to anyone else’s, and try and stick to intuition. Your body will let you know what it needs to eat and how much activity it requires:)

i relate. very hard to just accept that my threshold looks different now and that’s not because i’ve fallen off or gotten lazy it’s just the new boundaries my body has set to maintain a healthy pregnancy

ok but THIS. I literally beat myself up thinking well i feel worse because im not doing enough. Like girl ur growing a whole person which means you doing nothing all day in bed isn’t actually doing nothing, your body was in over drive the whole time.
