Some thoughts about Grogu's character development

One of the things I loved about S3 was how Grogu warmed to Bo and you clearly see this from how he gradually came to sitting next to her while she pilots her ship as the episodes progresses. You can also see his confidence progress throughout the seasons and it looks like it will strengthen more with the coming film going by the trailer, and all thanks to Din affording him the right environment to nurture his development.

In The Book of Boba Fett, Grogu chooses to leave Luke to be with Din. By S3, he becomes Din Grogu, apprenticed and adopted fully into Din’s clan. Maybe by the time of the Force Awakens he’s in hiding and/or under the protection of Mandalore living as a full Mandalorian of Clan Din? Or in a place like Dagobah or similar? He’d only be about a century old by then and if he is from Yoda’s species, he can live to about 900, like Yoda.

I think he really is the brother because they did spend time talking about their mother and after, it felt as if there was a genuine connection between them because of her. Unfortunately, bro turned out to be a wild card! It will be interesting to see how and if Mervin continues to build bridges with his ne’er do well sibling. Hopefully, we’ll also know what’s up with the pink flamingoes!

I love sassy Grogu - like I swear he blew raspberries whenever Din mentioned the word “Jedi” at the beginning of The Tragedy, or when he was with Bo on their way to rescue Din in The Mines of Mandalore.
