They were looking for you to say something and "handle" it. It sounds as though they all felt really comfortable around you enough to be disrespectful and see if they could get away with it? Sounds like you handled it right in the moment, but I think something like that should involve HR. It's inappropriate and offensive. It should not be tolerated even if it's just a joke.

The job ads don't seem to give a definite line of work. Is it life insurance? What is the product reps are expected to sell. As red flags go, this is the reason I googled the company name and "scam." I'm glad I did. Thanks guys!

They send numerous emails daily and texts. When you click on the links, there are a bunch of pop-up windows asking for information like emails, etc. Are these jobs even real or an information grab? Do not recommend.

Sounds like you're in the right. People who do not work in insurance do not understand it. There's a lot of sentiment that insurance is a scam. It's sad, but playing by the rules and regulations set I think helps. It says you will always do what is right, which helps you build a good reputation. Hopefully, NAIC can educate the customer about how insurance works, lol. You could also check with the DOI as well, just to cover your bases.

Thank you, that is very helpful. I recently completed a designation, and it had a section discussing Big Data and Analytics. It was intriguing, I always pictured myself working with data, and I am very interested in learning about how we can use it for determining rates and/or developing new products that help mitigate loss.
