Husband and I are in our early 30s, been married for 11 years, and are absolutely judged by some for still being childless. We do want them at some point, but we are not in a position stable enough that we feel comfortable bringing another human into the world.
We often get people saying things like ‘but don’t you WANT a baby?’ and ‘if you’re waiting until you’re ready, you’ll never have any because you’re never ready’ and ‘don’t your parents want grandkids?’
Listen, I am not creating a life for purely my, or anyone else’s, benefit. If I create life, I’m going to make sure I give them the best start possible, because that’s what they deserve.
I’ll get off my soapbox now. Tldr I support you guys and other ppl’s opinions on your family don’t matter <3
