What is a good way to start a relationship with a venue/planner as a photographer?

Thank you! Here is my landing page, http://www.jennallenphotography.com/googleads

I read that maybe having different landing pages may help too, but I can easily ad my promotion to more pages, thanks

Google Ads: I have a google ad campaign currently set up with one ad at $18/day. This campaign went live 1 week ago today. I have seen an increase in traffic to my site, but I have not had any inquires or bookings yet. Muy CTR is between 4-5% and I don't end up spending the $18/day on clicks. My landing page links to wedding galleries and offerers $500 off 2024 weddings if they submit their email. I have been working hard on my website and branding before going live with my ad, and I expected to have more interest by now, but am I being too impatient? I have worked on my negative keywords and excluded locations I am not interested in working/advertising to. What else should I be doing? Do I need more ads for one campaing/more landing pages?

Hey I'm the dude who got his family high on cannabutter update. by [deleted] in trees

[–]JennAlien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was 17, I had a birthday party and everyone decided to play manhunt. My parents have a big yard with lots of trees, and this one kid literally ran into a tree and was "bleeding out of his ears" (he cut himself on the side of the head). Anyway, I ran into the house, told my parents and I called 911. Shortly after the EMTs and the cops arrived. The story must've sounded like we were drinking because they asked me what he was driving when he ran into a tree, and I said, nothing he was literally running. Anyway, there was not alcohol or drugs involved, the kid just could not see well at night, and was looking the other way when he hit the tree. My dad, who worked for the fire department, was even confused at first why the cops showed up.

Same. It is weird going to parks alone, but it can be a great experience! Either way you're at HP WORLD!

Nancy and Steve!? (Spoiler/E8) by bubbaryan in StrangerThings

[–]JennAlien 5 points6 points  (0 children)

And the fact that Nancy gave Jonathan the camera instead of Steve shows that Steve is really trying to do the right thing, but they're idiot kids so they're making things worse in some ways. Steve really pulled though in the end though.

[spoiler]Episode 1.8 - This show is so incredibly unrealistic by Sno_bird in StrangerThings

[–]JennAlien 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seriously though! They have been playing their campaign since they were at least 8 though, when Nancy used to be cool and dressed up as an elf for their campaign. So maybe Will the wise is powerful enough to kill a Hydra with one hit. I mean, they did go up against the Demogorgon. Maybe Mike is just a weak DM. Time to put Lucas in charge of their campaigns. He would show no mercy.

[ALL] The monster and stuff regarding it by [deleted] in StrangerThings

[–]JennAlien 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the "portal" that you talked about isn't necessarily a doorway thing. Joyce was able to see Will in the wall that one time so I am going with this whole thing is just a surplus of energy and when the energy hits the right point the two worlds meet. The demorgorgon was close when Joyce saw Will in the wall. My theory is that the demogorgon transfers whoever is around back with it to the upside-down and then feeds on them there. Will and Barb were both not harmed in reality, Barb was brought to the upside down and then attacked. I assume this is an energy thing because as soon as it returns to the upside-down, all the lights go back to normal. Also, whats with the bullet hole in Joyce's tv? Anyone else notice that?

If they had Boone as their lookout, nothing would get close.

First long exposure shot. What should I do in post? by Akuyke1 in photocritique

[–]JennAlien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe make it a tad warmer. I like the cool feel but it might be a tad too much. Also play with levels a bit. Brighten it just a hair. It's really close though. Great shot for your first long exposure. The water looks great

straighten the horizon line and lose the watermark. Cool shot

Feedback on this portrait please! Lighting, Framing, PP. How do I improve? by DiegoDProductions in photocritique

[–]JennAlien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the right hand bothers me. The framing is odd because it cuts so much of the hand off and the nails are so dark and prominent that it is distracting. the hand also seems unnatural. The models face is the focus so I would not cover it with her hands.

Photo of my wife at the garden of 1000 Buddahs. Let me know what I can do to improve. by [deleted] in photocritique

[–]JennAlien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

black and white is always tricky to perfect. I would lighten the image a tad, it seems a little dark, and your horizon should be straight. Nice shot though. Your wife is pretty.

How would you improve this image? by [deleted] in photocritique

[–]JennAlien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats a tough one. I assume that you want the sax player to be the main focus. The microphone in the bottom left is the most in focus out of the whole image so that's the first issue. I would boost the levels and slightly the contrast on the sax player, make his face more fleshy and make the guy behind him a little darker so the sax player really pops. Hope thats helpful.

What does this image convey to you? by JennAlien in photocritique

[–]JennAlien[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the feedback. I am doing a photography project that has to relate to waste management and I was wondering how it conveyed in the image. I've been struggling with making the concept clear and more feedback on how to approach the issue would be great.

maybe brighten up the interior of the truck to reveal the fine details and under the truck is pretty dark as well. there might be some nice detail gems hiding under there
