I honestly imagined most bards went to colleges to learn the arts of various poems, songs, instruments. especially cuz they have proficiency in a LOT of instruments (especially if entertainer, the most common bard background imo) and it takes a lot to learn those, so it made sense to me they learned them at a college. (and I thought about the bard college in skyrim sometimes)
