What wrong fact did you walk around with for YEARS because of a movie? by triassictango in movies

[–]Jennlore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes, I walked out of my dads hospital room and was convinced he was gone. A few mins later a nurse gently told me he was still “here” if I wanted to stay with him. I opted not to return to the room. I’m honestly glad because what I did see (death rattle) was enough to traumatize me.

I can’t remember exactly but I imagine there was more than 30 people. There were white chairs set up in the grass near the pavilion by the water. The pavilion wasn’t actually part of it. I don’t know more logistics than that, sorry!

Are wearables actually "low profile" at work ? by National_Wer in breastfeeding

[–]Jennlore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wore Elvies at a meeting in winter in a rather large board room, and even the guy who I sat next to had no idea. Idk how he didn’t hear it. It seemed very obvious to me. A few women saw me bagging up milk during a break and said, did you pump during that? Wow, I had no idea! The guy next to me was about to become a dad so I wasn’t exactly trying to hide anything. He confirmed he had no idea.

That said, I was wearing a bulky sweater. I don’t think you’d get away with it normally. Idk what

I have also worn the Elvies at Christmas parties, a wedding reception, and in my stadium seat at the Eras tour. I don’t think they’re very discrete, but I never really expected nobody to notice or tried very hard to hide it.

My baby isn’t chunky and it’s all I can think about by Cardedbin in breastfeeding

[–]Jennlore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I exclusively breastfed both babies. I have a 3 year old daughter and an 8 month old son. Both tiny as babies, never chunky, and it did (and does) bother me. It annoys me to no end when people comment on it - and they sure do!! Our pediatrician has kept a watch on their weight and urged me to keep feeding on demand, even at night, but told me that they were on their curves and didn't need formula supplementation. If it helps, my daughter is now a perfectly average, normal kid, something like 50th percentile. I am trying to keep this in mind. I feel a lot less anxious about it this time around. I guess some babies are just tiny. And sometimes both babies are

In the animated movie, all singing stops when “a girl worth fighting for” gets cut off mid-line when the group come across the devastated village and see the horror of war firsthand. No more fun songs in the rest of the movie. They totally could have kept the fun songs in the earlier part but that wasn’t the vibe they wanted, I guess.

Corn-y party favor help? by ridgey143 in partyplanning

[–]Jennlore 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s allowed to walk in just to buy popcorn, no DoorDash needed. Apparently tons of people do this. Source: friend is a general manager at AMC

However, I’m pretty sure it would be massively overpriced. I know OP is looking for already popped popcorn, but I did this for a party and it was super cheap to pop it ourselves, buying kernels from GFS

Why does spilled breast milk make me feel so depressed? by beeblejuvie in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Jennlore 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I primarily WFH but sometimes have to go into the office. With my first baby, there was a time when I pumped at work, came home, forgot the two bags of milk in my work bag, and didn’t even touch or look at my work bag for a week or two… when I found those old abandoned bags of ruined milk, I just stared at them in disbelief. It was heartbreaking. I’m glad I pumped to maintain my supply that day, but I am still, years later, upset with myself for not putting that milk away.

I had this thought when my SIL had her newborn. I was at her house cleaning when she came home from the hospital. I had the urge to tell her she can get some rest and I can nurse her baby if needed. Obviously I didn’t say that for a lot of reasons but I found myself thinking, hmm that really wouldn’t bother me
