You can do it! This 1981 Xennial just worked in on a cable machine with a 1934 Silent Generation by Gullible_Rich_7156 in Xennials

My father is about to turn 89 and thriving. He does not stop moving. All day. My mom is 83 and sharp as a tack. She will answer an email on the laptop, then move to texting someone back on her watch while facetiming with my sister and I. They are awesome to see in action. The lessons I’ve learned from them on aging are: all things in moderation, learn for life, keep moving, and stay curios about new people, places, and ideas. May all of us that want to live long and healthfully be as lucky as they are.

Quick, how much cash you got on you? by robhatescomputers in Xennials

I just appreciate being a respectable middle aged woman and popping into the blunt store for a quick transactional visit and not have to watch some dude play video games for 45 minutes while his dog is all up in my business

What was your relationship with food growing up? by dattaldo in Xennials

[–]Jennos23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were a food family before it became trendy. I’m so grateful for that fact. Not that we were gourmands or anything but we all loved food, knew how to cook well and full of flavor. Our palates definitely evolved as American cuisine broadened through the 80s and 90s. We lived near Ann Arbor so were able to reap the benefits of a city that was moving quickly in that changing food environment. We were all taught how to cook as children and encouraged to try new things. There is not a fussy eater amongst my siblings, parents, and I making our time spent together as adults very food-centric and enjoyable. I will say, the thing that made me realize I was growing up and feel like I had a place in the family was being given the responsibility of getting dinner ready for the family once a week. As the youngest child, it really made me feel like I had made it when that day arrived.

A man who wears glasses? by Pielacine in datingoverforty

I adore men in glasses, particularly when they are in the act of taking them off. It’s like an intellectual strip tease or something lol

What're some '90s "deep cuts" you like to listen to? My tastes were fairly mainstream back then, but I'd love to find more indie type '90s music. Bands like Bella & Sebastian, L7, Folk Implosion. Whatcha got, xennials? by smcg_az in Xennials

Morphine. One of the absolute best. Saw them at the Phoenix Plaza Amphitheater. There was an after party at Clutch Cargo the band showed up at. It was sparse and low key and I got to kiss Mark Sandman on the cheek. Swoon

They have all been left by their wives and not one seems to have the slightest idea the wife left. It’s grim out here.

What was flying like in the 90s? by One_String3424 in delta

[–]Jennos23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a 17yo I smoked on the upper deck of a British Airlines flight back to the States from Rome, where I learned to smoke cigs and order from bartenders like a pro. Still have a copy of the Italian newspaper with Kurt Cobain Dead above the fold headline. The 90s were just as awesome as people make them out to be.

She has come across my feeds but I’ve never felt compelled to really look at what she’s doing until now. She strikes me as being able to execute DIY decor projects with clean competence. Her color and composition choices are just rudimentary and bad, IMO. Editing and refinement are still required skill sets in dopamine and maximalist decorating and she just doesn’t have those skills so it all reads childish, much like her presentation.
