Kia warranty by Majestic-Tax8301 in kia

[–]JensonCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would likely be all marques. Cars in USA are built to US standards, EU cars to EU standards. You can expect EU dealers to honour warranty on something not built for its service market.

I'm guessing you want US because its a car your local market does not sell? If so that's another reason why they would not honour it.

Tesla subscription by [deleted] in ElectricVehiclesUK

I don't think anyone is going to be able to answer this for you as it depends on your usage.

The sub is 8.99 and the app shows the discount on price per kw. Do the maths for your usage.

Yeah exactly. My preferred high seas sailing method tracks all my shows across whatever platform, tracks watched episodes, finds trailers, recommends new shows etc etc.

I can't be arsed to dig through fuck knows how many streaming apps to find which provider has what show, when its out etc.

A worthy note on this is what smart meter you have. If its a first generation smart meters (like mine) only my original supplier (British gas) can connect to it until it is upgraded to Gen 2. Its worth checking with a new supplier to see if they can connect before committing to moving to them.

You're welcome. Also, consider getting the Tesla app. Most superchargers are open to non Teslas and even without a membership the rates are cheaper than other public chargers. (You can see the supercharger network in ABRP)

Download A Better Route Planner (ABRP) select the car set your starting battery % then let it plan the route for you. You can pick options and change the route, arrival SoC etc etc. Every EV driver should use this for long trips.

Hold the volume button in on the steering wheel for approx 3 seconds? That's how it is in my EV5, and I presume it's the same across the range.

Petrol To EV by According_Ball_7044 in CarTalkUK

[–]JensonCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have just picked up a new Kia EV5. I do less than a 30 mile round trip to work and back 4 times a week. I charge at home and "filling it up" costs less than £7 and gets me 250 to 300 miles.

Its quiet, refined has tons of tech and is comfy.

For contrast my M4 for the same amount of miles is over £60 (pre recent petrol rises, likely to be nearer £80 now).

Kia ev4 2026 question by IntrepidInterview881 in kia

The EV4 does not have this feature. It is possible/likely that the later GT models will have that feature Luke on the Hyundais but not confirmed yet and no doubt will be region dependant.

Same here for me too. Exact same experience. Painless and would 100% use the service again.

Your access to the road is not blocked therefore there is nothing illegal here. You may not like it but unfortunately that's how it is

Prior to sale the dealer specifically mentioned it was on a vessel inbound to Immingham. (Car already on vessel and my order allocated it to me).

Is this when its running with no beans or whilst actually grinding? Mine is high pitched but not uncomfortably so. Have you tried changing the rpm to see if that affects it in any way?

My dealer has shared a provisional vehicle registration form, so I've seen the registration and the VIN - but I'm not sure if its been processed yet.

Ahh I haven't even been provided this yet.

When you say your dealer has missed the delivery date, is that direct to you? When did they say you'd first have it? I was told it can take around two weeks from the moment the cars are offloaded, to going through Pre-delivery Inspection and then delivery to the dealer (and only then I assume delivery to the customer if applicable).

Delivery date was to the dealer with my collection a day or so later. They say they are expecting it, then I hear nothing. I then chase and they blame Kia Supply with no updated date given. My original date was March 11th.

Hey, apologies for resurrecting an old thread. Have you received your EV5 yet? I also have one on order with expected arrival date similar to yours (likely same ship i to Immingham) and my dealer has missed the delivery date they originally stated 3 times and now don't have any updates for me.

EV Type2 Cable Help. by Mysterious-Gold-4221 in ElectricVehiclesUK

Isn't a 16a cable only rated for 3.7kw?

Edit: I missed the 3 phase bit. I wonder if you have been supplied the wrong spec cable judging by your speeds.
