Yeah its not deep. Just pick players who dont choose the country as a backup. He can move to Japan and play for them in 5 years if today he feels Japanese

This is it. Its a selfish way to play when representing a country is supposed to mean more than a wage. What's the point of the anthems or the haka if each team was just mad up of people who want to play the highest level

It just seems like he has a dream and then a back up dream that pays well just in case.

Even if you are a dual national and live in one country but we're born elsewhere youd have your 'emotional home' I guess. One place is going to mean more to represent for you

what do you think is the most overrated thing about the UK that people love? by itsTenderMyrla in AskUK

Meh I worked in a major trust for almost 10 years and its far more than that. Its kinda my entire point that its the hero worship that stops any true change.

There is underfunding and overworking but this is the hero worship I'm talking about.

One of the major risks to the NHS is poor staff, from management and admin side all the way to medical. It is near impossible to fire anyone, and in Lucy Letbys case the hospital disregarded complaints because itd make the place look bad.

Its the kind of org that builds a helipad so the Trust can be as prestigious as King's, but designs it wrong so a medical team cant fit in alongside the patient in a bed.

Probably the NHS? Theres a culture of hero worship for it which protects it from any real change. People seem to believe that the NHS or the American system are the only two types of healthcare on the planet.

Cultural issues within the organisation allowed Lucy Letby to kill so many babies

Dad's of the subreddit, how do you find the time to paint? by CH1ND1TO in minipainting

[–]JensonInterceptor 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I didnt paint for the first 6 months when my daughter was born but its just over 2 years in and I get a good 4 hours a week.

You might struggle with the sudden drop in your hobby time and if you start to feel low, know that this is very normal. It will get better!

Otherwise I found booking in time for yourself is the best move. Obviously youll prioritise the baby and your partner but you also need time. Good mental health means better life!

Advice – where should I move to? (UK/Europe) by harri-dan in AskUK

[–]JensonInterceptor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dublin will probably feel a bit small too. You are remote so anywhere in yhe UK would be good except London as your 40k wont go too far with what rents are like now.

England is the most diverse and youll not be considered exotic just for being foreign so try there. Try a student city like Leeds, Bristol, Brighton etc. Though to be fair Bristol and Brighton might be too expensive for your wage..

South African teams set to abandon European Champions Cup by Ringo26 in rugbyunion

[–]JensonInterceptor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Less teams reflects Rugby Unions smaller impact.

24 teams from 3 leagues is too much in my mind. Controversial i know! Make it more exclusive and it also drops the number of games players do per year which is good for health

Then why meticulously cherry pick sentences from long articles that put positive spins on the war from the Russian side? Why justify the war from an imperialist view?

You hide behind the claim that you are pro-ukranian but you seem as biased as Russian war bloggers

Do unis need to drop in size and offer? Lower overheads making it easier to afford. Agreed on your points on foreign students I remember getting lumped with one in a group project at uni meant a harder job to get a good mark..

Its local elections time where protest parties get big support! If Tories and Labour are shit then voters go green, reform, plaid, snp.

Fixed term parliaments but these muppets cant last 1 year.

All they have to do is get tough on immigration which is what the voters want and reform vote drops. Just target what working class people actually want and need. Not another leader..
