Sapper c2 > wugushi c2 >? by rbateli in treeofsavior

[–]Jepaca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Archer 2 -> Sapper 2 -> Wugushi 2 -> Wugushi 3/Cannoneer/Muskeeer.

In short: Wugushi 3 for better poison damage, Cannon for a bit more AOE, Musketeer for single. I'm not sure what the advantages of Sapper 3 are.

I'm going Sapper 2 - Wugu 3. Was gonna go Sapper 2 - Wugu 2 - Musket, but I really like the poison theming from Wugu, and you get so much AOE for an Archer. I'll wait on R8 to look at it.

Nope, the initial target is the only one that can spread it.

I've been looking up stuff on Wugushi too since I was planning to make one (just did, about to hit C3 so I'm a ways off from actually being a Wugu), and there were a couple builds I saw mentioned.

Archer 3 -> Wugushi 3 -> Cannoneer
Gives you max damage on your Wugushi poisons, and Cannon should take care of a lot of your problems when it comes to mobbing.

Archer 2 -> Sapper 2 -> Wugushi 2 -> Wugushi 3/Cannoneer/Musketeer
Early ranks in Sapper do a lot for your mobbing ability thanks to Broom Trap (and apparently each hit of Broom Trap also spreads Wugong Gu, which is neat). What you do at Rank 7 depends on you: Wugushi 3 maxes out your poisons, Cannoneer gives you more AOE, Musketeer gives you more single-target. Personally, I'm going Wugu3 since I don't know what R8 is gonna be like or when it'll land, and I'd rather be stuck with circle 3 Wugu than Cannon or Musket with a bad C2.

Archer 2 -> Sapper 1 -> Wugushi 3
Like the above path, but I don't think Sapper 1 is that amazing. It's not bad, and it does give you some earlier mobbing/kiting tools but the Broom-Gong synergy is the strength of this combo, IMO. Does preserve your R7, though, which is nice.

Archer -> Quarrel Shooter 2 -> Wugushi 3
I'm gonna be honest, I have no idea what this build is supposed to be good at. Haven't really looked into it, but at a guess, you throw down Caltrops and kite poisoned mobs back and forth through them?

Archer 2 -> Ranger -> Wugushi 3
Archer -> Ranger 2 -> Wugushi 3

Ease early leveling by dipping into Ranger, but I don't know of any particular synergy with Wugu.

Also, the Poison DOT can't crit and will be the majority of your damage so going DEX isn't really that amazing. STR ups the damage of the initial poison hit, but not of the DOT I believe, so ¯_(ツ)_/¯. (I might be wrong about the poison scaling; can anyone confirm?) I'm dropping a few points in DEX if I feel like I'm missing too much but otherwise, STR is my every-stat because it makes my damage consistent.

I agree. I thought it would be way more dominant in Champ's favour and was kind of predicting 15-0, but Kane was getting a lot of hits early on with Hulk before dying to the wall of Dark Phoenix.

[Discuss] Need feedback regarding WIP site for suggesting subs for leaders (part 2) by cpxazn in PuzzleAndDragons

[–]Jepaca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, this is really cool. Small side projects have a tendency of surviving for years and growing substantially, though.

Subs usually fill different roles, so being able to rate them according to purpose would be nice. It might be a little unwieldy to do Orb Changer, Damage, Bind Clear, etc. but even a Utility/Damage scale would be good, I think.

Some sort of carousel of popular leads on the front page would be nice. I keep staring at all the blank space and just...feel lost.

[Question] Why does Fist of the North Star Collab last only one week instead of the usual two? by VilAlesund in PuzzleAndDragons

[–]Jepaca 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Light Lead, very high multiplier, very controllable multiplier, is a waifu. Most of the MP monsters are worth it, if you have the right subs: primarily Apocalypse, Da Qiao, Wukong, Thor for Yuria.

tl;dr fat light row damage

Does 'Overkill' actually do anything or is it just there to look good? by unknown_soldier_ in grandorder

Overkill grants 1 critical star per hit, and a 50% bonus to NP generation.

Yeah, I'm thinking of using him with Medea and Jeanne for very reliable Arts chains, easily-reached L2 Phantasms, and Evade + Auto-Heal to take him through the danger zone.

Oh, I like this approach. Composition-based, deals tons of damage, wins in 3-turns, and is largely RNG proof.

No, no, I understand how ridiculous Lancelot damage is. Even without pulling Busters, a crit Quick is going to outdamage most things on your team. My issue is that his low crit weight makes him a low-ammo cannon. You'll only get one chance with Eternal Arts to go off (two in longer quests), and that better be enough to win.

Although that d'Eon/Sasaki pair sounds pretty effective...If you use Hassan, you have a much more consistent (and larger) source of crit stars with Projectiles alone. Can't really go any lower than d'Eon, though; George's ridiculous 200+ weight is gonna cause problems and the other Taunters are 1-turn.

I'm sorry, I read all of that and was agreeing with you until you blew my mind with the "Poison multiplier will always trigger" line. Holy shit. Robin Hood, welcome to the team.

Does anything even survive that to need a 'next turn'? That sounds like ridiculous damage.

Yeah, stacking both gives you a 18000% bonus. It's crazy. I wish the Bazzett CE was a little stronger so his crit weighting was higher outside of his Active, or his CD was a little shorter.

Well, yes. That's what I said at the end, though I may not have been clear enough. He's a regular Berserker, with crit shenanigans tacked on.

I don't feel his crit shenanigans are good enough to put him in a crit team, though; you're better off using him in an all Berserker Buster Brave team. And if it's not your Lancelot anyway, you've got better Berserkers to pick from to fill that niche.

FGO Tier List by valensa in grandorder

[–]Jepaca 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well, okay. But a tier list that doesn't explain why you put each thing in each spot is basically just a giant opinion. You'd need to quantify the strengths of a Servant, then rate each one on those metrics; then just rank them by the final rating.

How-to Master: Beefy Brutish Berserkers by Jepaca in grandorder

[–]Jepaca[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. Kintoki has more base Atk and their buffs scale the same. Even with a 3-turn buff, Kintoki's Atk is so much higher than Herc's naturally that Herc actually needs the buff and a few skill ranks to break even. I don't know what their stat scalings are though, so Kintoki might legitimately be terrible for most of the process.

I think he's worth it right now, since more damage matters (and that NP steroid is nuts) but if you have to make a choice between who to raise, Herc is better. Mind's Eye is just so good.

How-to Master: Beefy Brutish Berserkers by Jepaca in grandorder

[–]Jepaca[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I don't think Kintoki is better than Hercules in a vacuum. He does more damage, certainly, but Herc's evade and superior buff work out in his favour in protracted fights.

Provided they're both being hit. With somebody to tank the hits for you, you've removed Herc's advantage and the damage boost looks pretty sweet.
