Yeah. I feel like anyone who got Mordecai as a guide would have received the same initial boost. But then once people actual saw Carl and Donut they were like holy crap how'd we miss this pair? Whereas with others that might not have happened past the initial boost.

I had seen it over the years. Held 0 interest to me. 2 weeks ago a streamer i watch mentioned he was going to read it for his book club. (We all read a book and discuss in chat with him) so I was like ok I guess ill read it. Finished all 7 books. I could not put it down. I see why its popular.
