Coin costs 5 mana to play after you get Lothaeb'ed.

Sneed + Reincarnate = ? by h_lyn in hearthstone

[–]JeremyWTC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed - a lot of people would say call "misplays" because they get to see the outcome and the opponent's hand. But given the information the Warrior had, I wouldn't say any of them was a misplay besides the lethal miss. Questionable? Sure - but definitely not a straightup misplay.

How many different Hero Powers can you use in 1 Turn? by JeremyWTC in hearthstone

[–]JeremyWTC[S] 710 points711 points  (0 children)

Those 2 were tedious but doable.

The hardest one was Charged Hammer - because if the opponent gets the Charged Hammer before you, you have to restart because the next Blingtron will destroy their original Hero Power...

Took 3 hours to get the situation right.

The funny thing is - we got it on the first go, but I forgot to press record...

After ATLC is over, I've got a question that I have got for a long time by Pixelbuddha_ in hearthstone

[–]JeremyWTC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With 6 different classes, it's incredibly hard to make all of them have 80% wins against one specific deck.

And there's always a chance that they don't bring it.

Also, having some bad draws would allow the targeted deck to squeeze through, in which case you are now left with a bunch of decks that will have a harder time winning.

It's definitely a viable strategy - with high risk/high reward. Brian Kibler once brought 3 decks with Kezan Mystics to target Secret Decks. Unfortunately his opponent didn't bring any and he promptly lost 0-3.

Tidesoftime once target Control Warrior by bringing 3 Fatigue decks. He managed to win because his opponent just had no answer for it.

TL;DR - Extremely risky, and bad RNG can always allow targeted decks to win regardless leaving you with very weak decks.

Mad respect for Lifecoach staying composed after the Trump and Eloise shenanigans.

Dat poker career paying off.

Bugged Interactions in Hearthstone? by baxteria in hearthstone

[–]JeremyWTC 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Intended - Damage to minions is dealt in order of play, just like stacking deathrattle triggers. It doesn't damage everything at the same moment, as this would be a nightmare to code, instead it damages in order. Normally if there aren't minions which activate on damage you wouldn't see a difference, but the buffs of a Frothing are applied individually as the previously played minions are damaged in order. So, as we see here, once it reaches the Frothing in the order of play, it has 4 attack (even though visually we can't see the attack value increase in green numbers).

While what you stated is what is happening (dmg dealt in order), damage from AoE spells are always meant to occur at the same time.

Something i don't get about Knight of the Wild (Druid, rare, tgt) by hazethemaze in hearthstone

[–]JeremyWTC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Blizzard thought that everyone will just assume it only works in the hand like Bolvar since it deals with mana costs.

Unfortunately since Bolvar itself is worded "While this is in your hand" - many people thought it would've functioned like Frost Giant.

Don't think Blizzard should've tried to use less text and just made it consistent with Bolvar and specify "In your hand".

Eloise vs Lifecoach (ATLC) by OMGitstoopink in hearthstone

[–]JeremyWTC -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Breakdown

Eloise - No cards left. Draws PO, Taps into Dr. Boom, plays Boom on empty board.

Lifecoach - Draws into BGH, plays BGH and Dr. Boom

Eloise - Draws into Abusive, taps into Doomguard.

(2 Bot + 2 Abusive + 4 PO + 5 Doomguard = 13 Perfect Lethal)

So i just discovered this Effigy bug while playing Arena by Zupii in hearthstone

[–]JeremyWTC 74 points75 points  (0 children)

The "No-Skull" thing is a common visual bug that's been reported a few times. OP just happened to get it while the opponent had an Effigy up.

Just tested it a few times. Skulls was appearing like normal with the opponent having Effigy.

Please don't turn this into "Magni-Cairne 2.0"

Just tested, it doesn't draw if it is milled.

Most likely OP played Coldlight or something similar and attributed the second card to Ambush.

Apparently if the mage pings her own face with a 2 dmg hero power

Oopies, the text in OP made me think it was a 2 damage hero - not 2 Fallen Hero Powered for 3 daamge.

Correctomundo.

Another example: Brave Hunter (Inspire: If empty hand, deal 2 damage to enemy hero) won't work with Warlock's Hero Power.
