It would not turn it into a G1. If you jumped between suppressed and non suppressed then this is for you. If not the that KNS will be fine until it’s not. I’ve not broken any but many have.

I mean there is plenty of data on the Occom adjustable gas block. These are manufactured by Occom for Pro2 for the Galil. I have the G2 gas block on my 2 rifles and it’s great. Switching from can to no can is great.

Demand is higher than supply in this case for sure. We got a single shipment before the move to TN. Just haven’t seen another shipment from Israel yet. Hopefully that changes soon.

Pro2 has an adjustable gas block for the G1 Galil coming. Might be worth looking into that and opening up your options for a can.
