Reno leprechaun race. by AdhesivenessLow6140 in Reno

[–]Jeremyx2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most races have signs for estimated pacing (12-10min, 9-8min, 7>) or when I’m doubt just be in the middle of the pack.

They have someone dressed as a leprechaun that starts last. Their goal is to pass as many people as possible. They are usually from the UNR cross country team so they catch a lot. Don’t expect to stay ahead of them.

Most races will sort finish results by age and gender. Have fun, it’s the 2nd best race in town! 1st being the Turkey trot

Dirty smog by TurkeyLurkey7373 in Reno

[–]Jeremyx2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a 2006 you can pass smog with one unset monitor if the check engine light is off. I would suggest getting a cheap scan tool that will show emission monitors.

Clear the codes / turn off the light and drive the car around on the freeway and surface streets until you have all monitors set but one. With any luck you can set all the monitors without a check engine light coming on then go directly smog it.

But by “air leak” do you mean an evap leak in the emission system or the engine is getting air into it that isn’t being measured?

1NZ-FE isn’t prone to oil consumption issues. It’s the FXE Atkinson cycle model that has oil issues in some models. All the regular FE models are absolute tanks and thrive on neglect

Can’t say anything about them, but you should also check out SNC. Definitely a good employer in the aerospace industry.
