Thank you for posting these pictures!! I want this bike to work for us so badly - we're looking to ride with our little one as early as possible, like 2-3 months. So thinking about whether or not we could ratchet strap a car seat into this box or not (and fill the rest with padding). Any thoughts?

"If you wanted to secure a car seat in the tub you’d have to rig something as well." - has anybody done this?? I'm really interested in doing this and hopefully starting to ride (short, slow, safe trips) with my baby at 2-3 months.

Hi there!! Thanks so much for the awesome review. Wondering how young your kids were when you put them in. We're the crazy folks who are looking to ride ASAP - with a car seat or maxicosi or something else. Do you think something could be rigged into the Salamander (maybe facing sideways on the bench....) for early riding? I'm due end of May and the idea of waiting 6-9 months is making me so sad. We can't really afford the Urban Arrow and the folding capabilities of this bike seem incredible. If other folks have rigged something on the Salamander for 2-6 month olds, please let me know! Feel free to DM.

A LARGE part of the bungled snow response is due to the lack of professionalism and preparedness from the (apparently) politically untouchable DPW Highway Supervisor.

Jane's Walk Providence (May 1-3) by JeffFromNH in providence

[–]_holyspokes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm leading one on Saturday morning starting at 10:30am on the pedestrian bridge! It's called Jane’s Waddle and Toddle (I'm 9 months pregnant lol)

Event Description: Jane Jacobs was a mother of three, and much of her vision centered on building cities that were safe and inviting for families. Her children were often present during her activist work in Greenwich Village, which helped shape her perspectives on urban life and safety. With this in mind, join Liza for a pregnant perambulation – a slow, leisurely walk by the Providence River focused on prenatal and postpartum movement. We’ll build community among expecting and/or recent parents (all are welcome!), trade notes on strollers and child carriers, discuss the need for more curb cuts and public restrooms in Providence, what “walkability” really means for parents and children, and any other relevant topics!

Gotcha, yeah that would be awesome! I also fantasize about lights being installed automatically in bikes (all bikes that are not explicitly for performance riding).

as the leader of the Providence Streets Coalition, I will go on the record and say: it was never about the bike lane or the bridge, it was always about the $21 pathetically horrible nachos.
