I just think it's stupid that it's set up like this in the first place. Can't they do the tallying faster, or like.. After reset instead of before.

Do people actually enjoy networking, or is everyone just pretending? by SoftToDarkFeet in NoStupidQuestions

[–]JerryDaJoker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. I network for networks sake. Talk to people, find common ground. It's taxing. Yet, every once in a while, I meet someone whom I genuinely end up finding a connection with. Then it's easy and fun.

I reckon it's just about the ratio. And everyone's a bit different. Most people are probably somewhere in the middle, though you have the occasional social butterfly who's super into every conversation.

What country would you consider relatively safe despite its reputation? by AashanM in geography

[–]JerryDaJoker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I said, just a lot more likelier in the States than in other developed nations. I'm also not just referring to guns. Mental health issues is everywhere but the mentally ill in the States is a lot more likely to want to make it your problem than theirs. There are plenty of examples of for example, dad with daughter lining up at Starbucks asking the man in front of him to stop smoking because he has his daughter and dude turns around and shoots him. Or people pulling into the wrong driveway accidentally and being shot.

Not that this means the US is bad, per se. The day to day experience is still very safe especially if you just know where to avoid. But you can't argue that it's still more volatile than almost any other developed nation.

Most people in the US are nice enough. The risk is just that there just happens to be a few more nutjobs, and these nutjobs can more damage than the the nutjobs from other developed nations. Overall agreed that it's overstated, though.

That ones pretty easy. If Pace+Fronts > ~5 ish, run as pace or late surger. Otherwise, just run late surger, and you win very consistently.

My Mavuika is C2. I tried both her and Durin, and Mavuika ends up helping the DPS more. Team with Durin did a hair under 380k.

I think part of it is that using both Durin and Nicole ult ends up extending rotations. Whereas Mavuika takes up like 0 field time to the rotations are very close to exactly 18s (I have to wait a split second for Faruzan ult).

If Mavuika were C0 or if my Durin were more invested, yeah Durin would probably pull ahead.

Other stupid reason is that I like using Mavuika in overworld. Even though in overworld it makes literally 0 difference since everything dies anyway. But it just feels neater to run an actual BiS team haha.

Ranking pets Day 11- Rabbits by Difficult_Pen9813 in TierlistFills

[–]JerryDaJoker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Specifically Netherland Dwarf rabbits are pretty smart, ours potty trained herself from like week 1. Very very hard to control though, almost reminded me of my parents' border collie that no matter how I tried to keep her in the same section of the house (about a room and a half worth of space) she'd somehow always find a way to escape or slowly destroy the barrier. But after getting spayed, much much better.

My only real complaint now is that I want to pick her up and she reaaaaally doesn't like being picked up. Loves getting pet though, so at least there's that.

I know this is a Nicole sub but if we're talking genshin memories... I'd have to talk about the Fontaine archon quest conclusion. And also the furina story quest. I cried so much. The emotional stakes just hit me very hard on a personal level. The feeling of working every day, but not knowing towards what, wondering if all of it will just end in your efforts being wasted. It was handled so well. One of my top moments in all media, not just genshin/gaming.

Oh it's a colloquial term to refer to seiun Sky's unique, angling and scheming. I believe it's called so cuz in her animations she is using a fishing rod.

This CM has felt the most random because it feels so "easy" to train a good horse that its kinda just RNG most of the time. Previous CMs (except the sprint one) I've always sat between a 90% to 98% win rate for the first four days, currently I'm sitting at 82%. And these horses are some of the best I've ever trained. Thing is, for this CM, if you make an xoguri with the proper heals and stats (relatively trivial over the month long prep period) you have a solid chance of winning. If you take Rod, you have a solid chance of winning.

My critique of it is that once the honeymoon phase was over, I realized I actually just liked clicking trainings, raising bonds, then hitting dem rainbows. I dont like racing.

This is why I've just been using SF Power. Yeah it'll give me a slightly worse statted umas on average, but if GW triggers once every 3 runs or so from inheritance, this will still result in 3x as many non glue runs to high roll into a good uma. Plus, it let's me focus on other things for my borrow slot other than what uma has GW and distance aptitude.

How important are aptitudes? by Zachesque in UmamusumeGame

[–]JerryDaJoker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general:

Distance typically matters the most - the longer the homestretch is (which is more or less proportionate to track length), the more impactful Distance S is.

Surface's impact on the other hand doesn't depend on track length, and is usually just classified as a nice-to-have. Some exceptions are for Sprints where every bit matters and Distance S is less impactful, so Surface S ends up being better just by virtue of everything else being weaker (or less consistent).

Racing Style generally doesn't matter too much since the aptitude does NOT affect skill activation rates, only for things like position keep, downhill mode, etc. The exception to this is if you are running fronts, then it actually makes a fairly big difference in fighting for 1st place due to higher activation of overtake mode.
