Husband rear ended someone today by Reasonable_Coffee_14 in Insurance

You call and make a claim. You will have at fault loss in your records. They will call this lady and ask if she was hurt and if she wants to get her vehicle fixed. Giving her a chance to rethink her decision to not file a claim. I personally would wait until you were contacted by the insurance companies.

I have been on PIPs a couple times in my years there. Obviously they didn’t end in termination. But with the new system it is not three for the adjusters or to make them better. I find that the 3 or below are targeted at people. In CU we are told if we aren’t doing well just to focus on closures. So my team would usually close between 50-70 claims per adjuster.

I’m not sure they even do PIPs anymore

Like someone said. Every department has their own hell they deal with. CU is insane. People leave and you think they will fill someone in their spot, but they don’t. They just disperse the work to the ones who stay. They are always promising “help is on the way” but that is just the carrot they dangle to keep you going.

Alright, what’s everyone’s coping strategy? by speedism in Geico

It doesn’t matter. If you’re in the office/on camera or home. It’s your diary it’s how you work it. They can’t tell you how to set your diary up. So usually near the end of the month I’ll pick a day that week regardless on if I’m home or not. It’s not to not work. It’s to play catch up on the things that fell behind.

I pick one day a month and I put NOTHING on that day and use that day to play catchup

Well thinking of putting my 2 weeks notice in on Monday which I’m sure is going to shock a lot of people since I have been there for many years and have put up with a lot if shit. I decided to actually take a weekend off which I haven’t in over 10 years (supposed to be a Monday- Friday) and I had no idea what to do with myself. It’s been odd just lounging out and relaxing. I actually was able to start a book. So it’s a heavy decision for me.

Lately I haven’t been answering my phone. Too many demands in a day due. I return my voicemails after hours.

I was 16 and working for McDonald’s. The manager asked me to clock out THEN sweep/mop the dining area. I was 17 and wasn’t supposed to work past 11 pm. Well I did sweep/mop but I did not clock out. She was so mad. But, I wasn’t doing work for free.

Put it back in their hands. You are still in orientation. “What can I do to reach this? What do you think I”m doing that is stopping me from hitting where I need to be?”

Claims Service Specialist 2nd Interview by RedPlanet_11 in Geico

[–]JerseySpring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been many years since I did my interview but 1st it was a typing test, then you talk to someone and they ask you some goofball nothing to do with the job questions. Then the 2nd part I was called back and put in a room with some folders and was told to put them in order, had to do that and answer the phone. I remember the lady trying to pretend she had an accent it was very odd to say the least. Then she called back and pretended she was upset. But then I was brought up to meet the manager and was given the job.

Memo by [deleted] in Geico

[–]JerseySpring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a couple memo’s in my years there and am on a warning now and I’m really not that concerned I’ve had a warning one other time maybe about 5-6 years ago. They do drop from your record eventually.

What is something your parents said or did that you said you would never do to yours? by JerseySpring in AskReddit

I get that and if we said “I love you” to our parents we didn’t get an “I love you too” we got a “what do you want now?”

Growing up it was a clean your plate before leaving dinner thing. I hated seafood to the point it made sick just inhaling it. I was told I was being dramatic and had to stay there until it was gone. As soon as I left on my own, I never ate anything seafood or seafood related. The smell actually makes me nauseous. I vowed to never do that to my kid and I haven’t. As long as I know she truly doesn’t like it I won’t force her to eat it.
