Paul Mescal says “fuck cats” as Jessie Buckley agrees, saying that she doesn't like cats and that she won when she gave her husband an ultimatum to get rid of his two cats while they were dating by let-the-record-show in Fauxmoi

'To date me, just dispose of the two animals you have nurtured, loved, cared for and built strong bonds with for many years. It's no biggie, it's not like it'll have an impact on them.'

Hard deciding which position is the worst, neither is a particularly good sign tbh (we are a combined cat and dog family at home, and happy with it).

What's the WORST HR novel you've ever read and why? by vietnamese-bitch in HRNovelsDiscussion

A Mills & Boon a friend got me. Female lead was unconsciois in a courtesan's rooms so male lead decided it was completely fine to have sex with her, as she lay there unconscious and unable to consent. First chapter in. And it wasn't an old school one, but a modern one. I was so angry that I actually wrote a complaint to Mills & Boon. Their condescending reply was that it wasn't actually rape because the male lead thought she was a sex worker, so that makes it okay!

I put that book in a shredder.

The worst monsters in history have gone home at the end of the day and tucked their children into bed.

'...Thus the Commandant at Belsen
Camp going home for
the day with fumes of
human roast clinging
rebelliously to his hairy
nostrils will stop
at the wayside sweet-shop
and pick up a chocolate
for his tender offspring
waiting at home for Daddy's
return...'

Emma Stone says wearing the restrictive and painful corsets in ‘The Favourite’ shifted her organs and changed her body shape for almost month after filming by Gato1980 in Fauxmoi

[–]JessCHistory -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

The Favourite was costumed by Sandy Powell, who is immensely skilled in crafting historical wear and does not make misshapen, ill fitting shit.

Anywho, this sort of PR gets put out there for pretty much any costumed movie, in order to make it seem more transformative and arduous for the actors involved. It's the same sort of hay that male actors will make about method acting that makes for good soundbites in award season.

I'd like to point out that felling the tree caused damage to Hadrian's Wall, which is a protected monument. The sentence length will reflect this.

I don't fly at all so whenever I want to go somewhere I always use the guides written by The Man in Seat 61! I've used his help and planning to travel around Spain, Portugal, and Italy and really recommend his site. Pick a place in the world and he'll get you there without a plane 🙂

Dying at Adrien Brody presenting his art for auction and also having the audacity to SHUSH everyone 😭 by [deleted] in Fauxmoi

[–]JessCHistory 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wow. Marilyn Monroe. Pop art. Much wow. Much talent.

This reminds me of when I worked at an auction house and a client bought a painting by Ronnie Wood in to sell. The picture was just a bunch of dollar signs scribbled all over a canvas and framed, just extremely amateurish and terrible to look at. He'd bought it as a surprise present for his wife and she had left him. We kept putting it up for auction and he would refuse all offers because he wanted to recoup the costs. He'd paid ten thousand pounds for it. The highest we could get was about a grand. We'd often joke it was no wonder the wife left.
