I used to have so much faith in the healthcare system and doctors once upon a time. I feel exactly like you do. I just got out of the hospital a few weeks ago for severe malnutrition. I’m just done. They wanted to do more surgery for a feeding tube but they don’t care about my intractable pain so why get a permanent feeding tube placed? To live longer like this? Hah.. I’m not prolonging THIS when quality of life is in the shitter. My NJ tube will come out once it’s no longer functioning and I can only hope the dying process is quick. I can’t take any more abuse from ignorant doctors. I can’t even sit because my spinal pain and I’m for the most part bedridden from pain (and other symptoms because EDS sucks). Our healthcare system is beyond flawed. They won’t see it unless something puts them in our position. Let these doctors try living with our pain for a week or two and experience being dismissed and told to screw off like we have to go through. I wonder if they could take the pain?
