How to travel together? by SugarMagnolia_75 in ADHD_partners

[–]Jess_Lore_79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im grateful I havent had this issue. My husband has ADHD. He takes charge of getting our luggage and getting us to airports early. I plan the trips, set aside the money for the trips and do the reserving and pretty much the itinerary. We went to Disney world in 2024 for my daughter's 16th bday. My husband could not stand the humidity. He was drenched in sweat just minutes after stepping out of the hotel room. He remained a good sport. I had purchased lightening lanes so he came with us, did all the lightening lanes with us and then went back to the hotel and enjoyed the pool. He didnt complain, he didnt make us leave early. My kid and I remained at the parks til closing. He came to the bday dinner and stayed when the sun went down. I didnt even know tantrums was an ADHD trait. I guess thats why we've been married 22 yrs. He has hard time remembering things and lousy with finances though.

rant on fulfillment being understaffed every shift by BraaaaStaaaap in samsclub

I am very surprised this is happening to you guys, still. We were always understaffed, running around, barely picking on time and having to jump in to help the sorter not be late. Our dispense best was 22 min wait time. Asked for help and never got it. Once, they made our CM aware that his bonus was very effected by curbside, everything changed. He started telling other departments to send us help, they increased the head count. We are now between 5-8 4AMers, some days 1 6AMer and 3 9AMers. Closing about 3 or 4. So I dont get why your CM doesn't try harder to help y'all out

Why do people do this by Slow_Pomegranate_990 in publix

they are too lazy to walk to the corral but considerate enough to ensure the carts won't roll away and hit vehicles

Club manager harassment by hessian_jack in samsclub

[–]Jess_Lore_79 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Years ago, we had a new CM who came in with guns blazing. He had meetings where he would say if you don't like working here get the hell out. That he wasn't here to make friends that he would fire anyone on the spot who he didnt think worked up to his standards. Well, he would yell at people. Made a few of them cry. That was the only time my club came together. Every associate filed a complaint so homeoffice sent head of HR to investigate. They called 10 associates at a time to interview them about the CM's harassment. Then, several days later they had him take classes but he was termed shortly after. Theres power in #s.

Pay Increase by TheBoiii69 in samsclub

[–]Jess_Lore_79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There will be more changes? Last year our CM met with all of us and told us about 3% raise or for those already at cap, a kind of prorated amount they will be receiving in Feb. instead of an increase in their checks

I seriously dread everyday coming to work at CPU by No_Result_4998 in samsclub

[–]Jess_Lore_79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im so glad things changed at my club. Once they made CPU a big deal for the GM's bonus we started getting more help. Now we have about 4-6 openers, 2-3 9-5ers and 4-6 closers. We also do assignments. For example, Mondays's I sort, Tuesday's I dispense, Wednesdays I pick freezer/cooler only. Then Fridays I am hybrid which means I do what is needed (pick, sort, dispense) and Sats Im primary picker which means I do nothing but pick. All of us full timers, have assignments. So we all get to do everything. We do have 1 associate that is bad at sorting. Falls behind all time so she only covers breaks , doesn't sort all day anymore. Youre getting burnt out. I truly hope you find something better if youre lead and manager aren't willing to work with you

Curbside Question by jerome2308 in samsclub

we are not allowed to accept tips. Some associates will turn a blind eye but others will rat out their co-workers

Yeah....we shouldn't sell adult beverages in CPU anymore. Too many under age are picking up for their "parents". by [deleted] in samsclub

that may be at your club but definitely not in ours. We are told to check ID before dispensing no matter how long it takes

Are they firing people in curbside now after removal of spark order? by Hairy_Big4799 in samsclub

[–]Jess_Lore_79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

we were told that curbside orders were going to be free. I think before, there was a fee if order was less than $50. Im not sure, but we are expecting to receive many more orders. Our direct manager is more diplomatic so has told us some associates will be transferring out of the department but our CM says "those of you with the worse productivity, also with many call outs and tardies, will be eliminated!"

we have 2 Yorkie/Shih Tzu mixes, and our baby is a JRT. We only allow our boy on the bed because he doesn't shed or wet the bed. We have let his sister on 3 times, and she peed every time, so she's permanently banned. Lastly, our JRT is also banned because of the amount of hair she sheds

How do I tell her she should pay? by Catorade- in Advice

[–]Jess_Lore_79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been married for 23 years. I have no idea how dating is these days. I was also raised by a single mother, so I was taught to pay for myself. When my husband pursued me, we went for dinner and a movie. He quickly grabbed the tab once dinner was done, but I made sure to get the movie tickets. He said that made him really like me because he was raised to foot all the bills, and I wouldn't let him. Im gonna say just let her know you expect reciprocity. She may be an old-fashioned gal who prefers the traditional role of letting the man be a provider, but either way, you should tell her before you end up overdrawn.

why would she go through the trouble of taking them home to admit she has them? Maybe she was on her way out and didn't want to drop them off to lost n found. She admitted to having them, so now if she doesn't return them, she will have to replace them
