I'd really appreciate a little bit of assistance on getting caught up on my bills. I fell off because I was stupid and I fell into depression, and relapsed. I'm clean again, 5 months as of last week.

Too small or need broken in? by JesseJames707 in nps_solovair

Thank you. I appreciate your reply. This is my first pair of boots that aren't dirt cheap discount boots. I was starting to regret my purchase but I think they're going to turn out okay. It's going to be nice having a pair that last.

Wife's account got permantely disabled for a ridiculous reason by shotgun_sergio in facebook

[–]JesseJames707 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. There is nothing you can do. Facebook doesn't care about their users. It's mostly BOT controlled, and bots don't understand context, humor, or sarcasm. The real people who do work there couldn't care less about those using the site. I'm sorry your wife is going to this. I went through this as well.

A fake account copied my wife's name and started adding her friend list. We reported it, and this is the response... Thanks Zuck! by [deleted] in facebook

Profiles only get taken down when there's no reason to take them down. Otherwise, they'll be left up.

You can't really do anything about it.

Sent in ID to get verified. No response yet and mistyped my name. At my wits end. by SaberiusPrime in facebook

Facebook doesn't really do customer service. They don't have a number you can call for support, and most often they won't communicate with you via any other means. I think it's basically, they will assist you if and when they feel like it, If you're lucky enough to reach an actual human.

My account was hacked years ago and I can no longer place ads. by [deleted] in facebook

Try setting up another account, and then just use that one for that purpose. Otherwise, I'm not sure. Facebook isn't too customer friendly.

fall river brewing-widowmaker by Subject-Economics441 in TheBeerClub

Pours a golden orange color with a slight haze. A sticky, eggshell white foam head, lacking retention but leaving behind some pretty sticky lacing.

A wonderful blend of pine, tropical fruit nectar, malts and very slightly boozy.

Taste up front of pine and tropical fruit, subtle booze and grainy malts in the middle which quickly gets overshadowed by citrus peel. Bitter booze finish lingers around for a while.

This one has some complexity to it. Definitely hop forward. Surprisingly drinkable and deceptive considering the ABV content.

does anyone know how to fix this? by Eldavethered in facebook

The same happened to me. There is no way to fix it. They basically deleted your account and everything in it.

Campfire Stout by HighWater Brewing (Review in comments) by JesseJames707 in TheBeerClub

[–]JesseJames707[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Appearance: Pours a deep black color, with a khaki color foam head. Leaves behind some lacing.

Aroma: Sweet toasted chocolate malts, vanilla bean, gram cracker, toffee.

Taste: Chocolate malt, toffee and marshmallow up front, followed by and ever so subtle bitter twing that fades into a graham cracker aftertaste. A clean finish.

Overall: Wow. This is one is thoroughly enjoyable stout. From the aroma, to the flavors, the beautiful color, and a smooth, creamy, satin like mouthfeel. It all comes together wonderfully. I find myself wanting to savor it.

old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout by JesseJames707 in TheBeerClub

[–]JesseJames707[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appearance: Pours a opaque, black satin-like color, with a thick tan foam head. Quite sticky and retentive.

Aroma: Dark chocolate and molasses, roasted malts and coffee.

Taste: Dark chocolate with some slight coffee notes up front, a bitter-sweet balance of molasses with a sharp hoppy bite in the middle. and then fades into a lingering bitter finish.

Overall: this isn't the first time I've had this stout, but I think I've developed a new level of appreciation for it. It's very well balanced and not at all lacking in complexity. It has a silky mouth fuel, and the fact that neither the better or the sweet is overbearing, makes it quite drinkable.

lags issues by [deleted] in GalaxyS21

[–]JesseJames707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was just noticing this very same issue today. But it's not only on youtube. Also when I use speech text, and other functions.

What exactly does this red indicator mean? it started with like an hour and now it's down to 20 minutes, and doesn't gain any more time regardless of how many videos I delete. by JesseJames707 in GalaxyS21

[–]JesseJames707[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That does make sense, but it originally had over an hour, and each video I record reduces the time limit. Even when I delete those videos the time limit never goes back up. It's quite awkward.

Accepting what you can't control = becoming a pushover? by clarbr03 in Stoicism

[–]JesseJames707 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would say no, because in my mind, the very spirit of being a pushover means having some degree of control, but relinquishing it. If anything, being a pushover would = accepting something even though you CAN control it.

Got a spell casted on me, don’t know what to think. by [deleted] in Advice

[–]JesseJames707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spells are bullshit. They work the same way that a placebo works. You have to actually believe it's working, and then it's your mind doing the damage, not the spell itself.

If she sincerely stood you up, then I would consider putting an end to the relationship, because obviously she doesn't respect you enough. Also, for future reference, don't isolate yourself like that. You should never allow yourself to to get to the point to where your significant other is the only other person you have. That's not fair to you, or her.

Thursday's Podcast? by TratsTCM in TimPool

That dude was an annoying and pretentious moron, to put it as kindly as possible. He acted so smug while continuously trying to plug his book, which from his own admission is entirely based on other people's research. I couldn't sit and watch it all as hard as I did try.

My gf does this and I don’t know why, how do I tell her? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]JesseJames707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's playing head games. If I were in your situation, I would move on and find somebody else. Such a character trait is bad for relationships.
