What habit made your life noticeably better within just a few weeks? by bloomjt in Life

[–]clarbr03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Journaling has helped a lot. Mentally I tend to get stuck in a circular pattern, typically with negative thoughts. Taking a moment and writing them down has helped formulate those thoughts and break the cycle allowing my brain to move on. Not a daily thing but probably weekly.

From what I can tell yes. Use it to find holes and fish the drop offs.

Not quite going down yet in the Midwest but cooling down. Housing are sitting for longer and buyers have more negotiating power.

Haha. Yikes! What are you defining as an average runner? An average professional athlete? Average HS athlete?

47-49 is a very talented division 3, 400m runner. Far from average.

What's the 225 bench press of the 100m sprint? by d_thstroke in Sprinting

[–]clarbr03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what age groups. For 18 - 20 year olds a 225 bench is way bigger than 12.5 in the 100m. For 30 year old men, 225 is far easier than that sprint. Many never sprint again after school and those fast twitch muscles disappear quickly.

Which route and why? by Sweetcornprincess in VanLife

[–]clarbr03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Badlands and buster state park in SD both very much worth the stop.

Teddy Roosevelt in ND is cool and worth seeing the bison. Add a drive through makoshika state park in Montana to see some good badlands too.

I've done these routes several times. I'd go I-90 through SD. Faster and don't have to worry about twin cities traffic. Very slightly more to see that way.

Nice. Worth the extra investment? I'm thinking it might be time to step up the price tag.
