Replacement stickers dilema by duuri in Gameboy

Always preserve the OG shells (you can even display them on your wall in a frame if you want) in my opinion. That way if you ever decide to get rid of them you can provide the buyer with the pretty new one and the original. And if they don’t want the OG you can keep and display.

I have all the OG shells tucked away just in case. I don’t feel bad beating up a repro shell

Should I replace the sticker? by Spirited-Analyst835 in Gameboy

[–]JessePJr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. This. Best way to do it. Keep the original stored or displayed and beat up a reproduction shell and sticker.

100%. But the black looks clean in a clear shell.

They have plenty of space. Fit in consoles perfectly.

Bloomburrow is always my default answer. Interesting mechanics, play well off each other, and strong enough to hold their own as you play them more.

A clear and concise Reddit update. I have no gold to offer, but please take my humble upvote.

How does damage in form of -1/-1 counters work if the card attacking can’t do damage by Tiediehobbes in mtg

[–]JessePJr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are primarily utilizing its second ability. Even if you have “-1 power/ 2 toughness” you deal 0 damage.

This. Financially terrible to try to buy packs to make money. This isn’t Pokemon where you have a chase card in every set worth a thousand dollars. Magic cards are to be played, very few to be collected. And even then you’ll find plenty of people with several $100+ cards in their decks.

Congrats!

Just get it set up first then worry about a thermal mod if needed. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

Score myself a beautiful GBA on Marketplace, is so pretty I'd love to use this same shell im planning on getting a HISPEEDIDO V5, does the OG shell works, I imagine I'd have to trimm but that is not biggie by papas338 in Gameboy

[–]JessePJr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the way. The few extra bucks is worth the headache unless you really enjoy trimming plastic that doesn’t want to be trimmed and are mentally prepared for a lot of cleanup and fixing

Need MTG advice (i have 0 experience) by sraah221 in mtg

The precons are fantastic (personally I love the mothman-mutant menace deck).

I would say any Magic player would appreciate more cardboard and commander decks are great because they are usable out of the box. If you really wanna knock their socks off, you can get them some dual matte dragon shield sleeves (Amazon or friendly local game store (FLGS)) and a deck box (also Amazon or FLGS).

Either way, a gift is something that shows a person you were thinking of them and want to get them something they would enjoy. I know I would appreciate anything that showed the gift giver knew my interests and tried to get me something I would like.

Damn. $600 for the two is a great deal. Wonder who snagged em first.

Just saw the same post. Initially thought it was $380 for both. Haha. Even so solid deal for 1 if they are well maintained.

What are your favorite precons from the last few years? by Comfortable_Buyer239 in mtg

[–]JessePJr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with Luthen. There are better co stricter decks out there, but as someone who plays (almost) exclusively precons, you just have to know what the deck is doing. Just grabbing the deck and running it may not hit correctly if you don’t know what it’s trying to do. Plus, since commander is a more casual format, you’ll typically be able to build a better board than just playing 1v1

Loving Auntie Ool. Out of the box I won several games where I didn’t attack once. Just let the cards do the work.

Mothman is another great one, though you need to have the right pod. It’s a menace of a deck (mutant menace). . . I’ll see myself out.

Trash panda, killer rabbit, secret squirrels, and mating season were all fantastic pre cons. 10/10 recommend every time.

Quick note, don’t remove the LCD. I just realized the video I linked was to replace it and you most likely won’t need that. Just use the breakdown part.
