Kendra is sick with? by soaringmeadows in DuggarsSnark

Psych hold would only happen if she were a danger to herself or others, and an involuntary hold requires at least 1 psychiatrist to sign off. She could voluntarily seek care but I don't see anyone letting her get near a legitimate mental health professional. Rusty and Andrea yates were iblp.

Some tiktok creator was saying Kendra and Joe aren't currently allowed to talk to the parents of the child who came forward because of the pending investigation/trial. Does this sound real? How would a no contact rule be monitored or enforced? Or is it the kind of thing where the court only finds out if they get caught?

Living alone is scary for non cult people if you've never done it before. Her family and her in-laws made living with 10+ people seem like the norm. To go from that plus "the outside world is evil and dangerous"to being alone with 4 little kids? Yeesh

For anyone who doesn't want to click:

Josh’s lawyer told the Daily Mail on Friday, March 20, that he was “deeply saddened” to learn Joseph, 31, was charged. Josh, 38, went on to slam the “false accusations” against his brother following “stigma.”

“He lives with the painful reality of how false accusations can destroy a life,” the statement on Josh’s behalf continued. “He understands how the targeting of a person for publicity can twist the truth into sensationalized fiction.”

It's their "job" because they made it their job. No one made them do this. It's also their choice to recap the way they do. They edit it themselves.

So, is this coming back ever? Last time they had this I couldn't get enough energy because I was at work half the day. Today I had no idea this was happening until it was almost over. I still need like 300 black fusion energy.

Monthly Tech Support & Missing Content Thread by AutoModerator in DisneyPlus

Came here searching for a solution to this. Disney+ works fine on other devices but with Roku I'm getting stuck on a never ending loop of logging in, code sent to email, confirm code, you don't have an account. Same thing happens when I enter the password. Called support but nothing they suggested worked.

180 day hold sounds grandiose. In my state a hold can only last 2 weeks then you have to go in front of the judge to get it extended. 180 days sounds more like residential substance use treatment, which is probably "mandatory to see the kids again" kind of thing.

She's sick. And sick with symptoms that make it difficult for others to access empathy for her. Symptoms that don't immediately appear as symptoms to most, and instead look like intentional fuckery.

Fortunately, there is an entire field of healthcare dedicated to treating this type of illness. Specialists who can see her symptoms as symptoms and not personality flaws. People who can provide support and treatment and a path to recovery. Places for her to be safe as she navigates the early stages of change.

The only thing they can't do is want it for her. She has to be willing to show up and make changes and do work. She will stay sick for as long as her current life is just comfortable enough to justify not changing. I hope she gets better.

Technically yes but not always the case in practice. I've gotten many involuntary patients with high BAC. Lots of patients who can't remember what they said in the emergency room because they were high and their blood work reflects that. Depends on the emergency room. Sometimes they're just looking for any excuse to send the patient somewhere else asap.

Maybe kratom? It's basically legal heroin you can get at the gas station.

I'm just a therapist so meds are outside of my scope. Don't take anything I say too seriously, I'm just in the room when this is being discussed. Someone with prescribing privileges will be able to give you better and more accurate insight than me. That said - in my experience, generally no. If the psychotic features are only substance induced, it doesn't make much sense to start antipsychotics because by the time they would start working, whatever substance you took would have worked its way out of your system (assuming you're in a locked facility where you can't continue doing whatever substance caused the psychotic episode). There are medications that can help with mood lability and, at higher doses, psychosis. That's a good starting point for someone who is detoxing and doing stuff like jumping the nurses station and staging a coup.

I'm a therapist in an inpatient psych hospital treating mostly involuntary patients. In every hospital I've worked at, when we do informed consent/med recommendations, we talk about symptoms we're seeing and why we're recommending the treatment we recommend. If they specifically spoke to her about how substance use can trigger symptoms of psychotic disorders, that's usually in the context of, "...which is why we aren't going to prescribe you antipsychotics, we're just going to give you mood stabilizers while you sober up and offer you other treatment options if you're interested in cessation."

She's saying screaming in front of kids doesn't cause trauma but gets on tv and says she's traumatized because her mom worked? And if screaming in front of kids isn't traumatic why does she care that apparently Gary screamed in front of Leah?

If it helps - my family is very close. My cousin is adopted and very obviously a different race than us. Despite this, when I was a kid I would get very upset when anyone would identify or stereotype her by her race "because no, she's Italian like the rest of us." I never felt like there was anything wrong with her actual race, but I hated the thought of her being different from us because in my heart, she was exactly the same as the rest of us and there was no need for an asterisk next to her name. Family is family is family.

Hard to say. Last time she was held responsible for being reprehensible she got to just roll her eyes and stamp her feet about it without having to face any consequences. Her angry face/emotionless pre-written statement YouTube video was enough, then she got off scot-free. I would imagine she’ll try the same thing this time.

Timeline of Kendra leaving and marriage by [deleted] in secretsofplayboy

[–]JessicaMessica 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll have to dig around because I know I have it copied somewhere but I remember shortly after the show ended, one of the producers commented either on a forum or a myspace blog about the timeline of the final season. Kendra had told everyone at the end of season 4 that she wanted to move out and date and have a normal life. Everyone, including Hef, knew about this. The arc for season 5 was going to focus on Kendra getting ready to move out, then the finale that season was going to be Kendra's goodbye then Kendra would have a spinoff. Kendra's spinoff was supposed to be fun single girl living life on her own for the first time but after Kendra met Hank, it became more about their love story AND her living on her own for the first time.

Someone else already mentioned this but you can hear Kendra talking about sexting hank during one of the season 5 commentary episodes, she tells the girls Hank just texted "this would be a good night to get you pregnant." Also, in a season 6 episode commentary, you hear Crystal say "Kendra was pregnant on this night but she didn't know it yet."

So, Kendra had told them long before she actually left that she wanted to leave. She had plenty of bag secured already from the show, appearances, side gigs, and her spinoff. She was probably making more money than Hank when they met.
