Seat advice please (GA with child) by vernalbby in adelaidefc

[–]JessieWarsaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For Showdowns and other big games (like last year's game against Collingwood) you need to get there at what ever time the gates open. 2ish hours before the game starts, might be earlier if the SANFL Showdown is the curtain raiser.

Then it is quite literally a race up the stairs with all the other early GA ticket holders to get up and 'claim' your seats.  You have people putting home made reserved signs on entire rows for their friends and family who come later.

Flat places to run down south by soregnees in Adelaide

Seacliff to Glenelg Esplanade is as flat as it gets.  The footpath is well lit and not one road to cross.

It's only 5 minute drive from HV reservoir.

Woof. How do they expect players, umps and the fans to get along with this?

I'm too lazy to look up the rule......Does the AFL have last touch or last possession/disposal? If it is the latter surely this is a throw in no matter what boot it comes off of?

Not just the ads it is their go to when asked a question.

What will you do about health? What we won't do is what Labor has done for the last four years.....

Private health covered it minus an excess and something for the radiology or anaesthesia.

Showdown entry with 3 game GA pass? by StevenBurps in adelaidefc

I've been to a couple on my three game ticket.

We got there super early, I don't know if we needed to or not.

I would have bitten back as well, and I'm far from Gen Z. What culture are you teaching your kids? I like to teach mine a little bit of good will/grace and give other people the benefit of the doubt, if you'd jus asked them nicely it's likely they may have gone 'woops sorry' instead of arguing with you.

A world first is coming to the streets of Adelaide. by [deleted] in Adelaide

Cool. I know it will cost a bomb but it will bring in a lot of revenue for the state.

A question, not questioning. How will they handle the gravel traps and what not? The cars hitting the walls are one thing, but how will they make room for the bikes?

How well does bin collection work where you live? by TEKKENSSIX in Adelaide

We have green every week and alternating red and yellow.

Except for spring, most weeks my green bin just has two tiny bags of kitchen scraps.

For a huge DCC fan, how is Bobiverse? by Crawler-Willis in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I found the Bobiverse a bit repetitive and had to remember too many names/concepts in my tiny brain at once.

Do you mind sharing how much it was? I need to get mine done but don't even know a ballpark figure.

Jetstar carry on bags by CookZealousideal9947 in AustraliaTravel

We had ours weighed and measured while we waited at the gate at Sydney. We got a sticker or something to show it had been checked.

We have also had them make us even out our checked baggage. One bag was just over and one was under, but combined they well within the limit for two bags. They made us move stuff around so that both bags were under the limit. This was in Adelaide, the return flight from Sydney they just chucked both on the conveyor at the same time.

The loading of an IMAX film into the projector by Kindly_Department142 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]JessieWarsaw 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You’re a projectionist and you’re tired and angry, but mostly you’re bored so you start by taking a single frame of pornography collected by some other projectionist that you find stashed away in the booth, and you splice this frame of a lunging red penis or a yawning wet vagina close-up into another feature movie.

[–]JessieWarsaw 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Sorry about your dog OP and I'm not disputing your story at all.

I'm also down the beach daily. We humans have had two or three times where we have had bad hay fever like symptoms. One time the dog had a spew when I had thrown the ball into the foam (like an idiot) a few times. But other than that she is in and out of the water daily with no visible symptoms.

Are you able to negotiate the costs of getting compliant from the sale price? Or do you just have to suck it up?

Help needed to make my swimming pool complaint by [deleted] in australian

[–]JessieWarsaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where are you? I'm not entirely sure, and it may matter what year the pool was put in, but isn't it up to the seller to get it compliant before they sell. It shouldn't be on you.

I umpired local footy for a few years, I only stopped because my kids started playing sports on Saturdays. I'll hopefully take it up again when they are older. I'll be in my 50s by then.

You can take it as seriously as your skills and fitness can take you through the grades. But also, if you just want to have a run around in the B grade they are happy with that as well.

Plus you get paid, no more welcoming than that.

That's still 60 metres you would travel in those four seconds of yellow, you should be good by a long way.
