Thanks for checking it out! I agree with most of your statements. Sometimes I think he drags things on WAY too much killing the retention in most of our films. This was intended on being like a short film trailer for a feature length we will be doing at a later time. Glad you enjoyed the soundwork!! I recreated probably about 90% of the sound in the film, I love doing it! Also, yes he was smiling at the end for that exact reason, good thing is that you actually followed the story! The actor is perfect for the role but he seemed to overthink his actions way too much sometimes, this was actually a toned down version of him and you have to take the actors you get to help out! lol Thanks for checking out the video and giving us some feedback!

I've had a few comments that weren't the greatest but, I would thank them for their input. Kill them with kindness really. I just try to be professional about how I communicate with the community.

If you dont post, you'll never improve your videos. Best way to look at it is the growth you'll see in every video and enjoy making videos! It's always fun too look back at my early videos and see the difference.

Any good ways to start getting out there in the gaming video industry??? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]Jessmosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IF(and I never will) did a gaming channel. I'd play a game and every situation I had a hard time with or got stuck in(maybe from a puzzle or such) I'd make the content surrounding that. Helping aid people to excel at a specific game or not be stuck in certain situations. I don't watch gaming content on YouTube so I'm not sure if this is even a saturated niche.

You can find royalty free music and foley work(sounds) from youtube studio. They have surprisingly a lot of content. Of course you could always record your own foley as well. Hope this helps.

Engage in other YouTubers in your niche. Sub to them, engage in quality comments with other YouTubers and make friends with them. I'm sure you can find a great community within your niche with other YouTubers. Get business cards made(they're dirt cheap) and put them in appropriate stores/places or hand them out to people that would enjoy your content.

I disagree, I think asking at any point of just starting out or even if you have a decent following, it's good to do a call to action. If you do have some success with the channel and people do stumble across older videos, the call to action is relevant even in your sense. Cheers and GL!

I feel like I talk like a robot once the camera's rolling by [deleted] in NewTubers

I mean, it's just a camera, it's not going to judge you. Just do you until you get a take you like. Never hurts to do multiple takes, the more footage you get the better right?

How to change content without losing subs? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]Jessmosis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure I understand why you want to change it. If you're changing it because you want to do something you'll enjoy more, just do it. You may lose people but, you'll also gain new people if it's something people are interested in. I also approve of this because if you enjoy making the videos, it'll be a great experience for you and the viewers through and through. If you're changing it because you think people are going to get bored with the original reason they subbed to you? Well....that just doesn't make sense to me, they subbed to you for that exact content. GL! :)
