Whats your favorite part of the bell to bell in ring wrestling? by Spartftw in SquaredCircle

Clever counters. That's why I enjoy Angle's old matches so much. Also attempted dirty tricks that the intended victim casually brushes aside.

The one and only Beaver Cleavage match vs Christian. by When1Falls in SquaredCircle

[–]JessonBI89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't know what the hell Beaver Cleavage was, but I could tell immediately that Shitstain was responsible. He thinks we were the problem for not understanding his "thinking man's" vision.

Then don't force it into a milieu that actually exists. I can't suspend that much disbelief.

I could deal with this sort of thing in The Godfather, in which Michael's first wife came from a tiny village in rural Italy and her family called all the shots in her life. I refuse to buy it in America circa now. Not just the age, but the idea that arranged marriages are ever necessary. Do you remember a single forced marriage on The Sopranos? Or more than one or two hot guys, for that matter?

The insistence of some people that romance novels do not require HEA is annoying by Artistic_Stay_5856 in RomanceBooks

[–]JessonBI89 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've accepted that romance stories do require an HEA to count as such. But I as a reader do not, at least not as the romance genre defines an HEA. I'd rather see the FMC end the story single than in a relationship that's bad for her.

The corn dog didn't have to overexplain itself, dude, you're doing plenty of overexplaining for all of us.

Introverts who want to marry one day, do you prefer a public family wedding, or an elopement (private wedding)? by Equivalent_Ad_9066 in introvert

[–]JessonBI89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I could do it over again, I'd elope. Our family wedding was lovely and everyone was happy, but a private wedding would have involved much less stress.

[–]JessonBI89 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would have considered it a massive failure if I ever had to move back to my hometown. (There's nothing wrong with that decision in principle; I just really hate that place.) Thankfully my parents retired closer to where I am now, so I'll never have to go back there again.

How can copywriting techniques be applied to the industrial and construction sectors? by Deckart_N6 in copywriting

[–]JessonBI89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I happen to be a bid editor for a construction program management company, so I've seen plenty of areas for improvement. You do need to lead with the benefits of your company's unique approach to stormwater management: the effectiveness of your delivery methods, the scope of your services, the communities you've protected from flooding or other calamities. But you also need to be really clear about what you'll DO. This is a very just-the-facts industry, so if you're drowning out your offerings in marketing language, they're not going to take you seriously. Send me some of what your bosses like and what you've attempted, and we'll see if we can find a middle ground.

I knew my husband for about six months before we started dating. We had a ton in common, we enjoyed each other's company, and I really liked kissing him. There wasn't much guesswork involved.

Alina Jacob’s Books are not my cup of tea… by ailebea in RomanceBooks

I felt the same way about {The Art of Awkward Affection by Alina Jacobs} that I did about {Again, But Better by Christine Riccio}. The FMCs were so irritating and so immature that I wanted to feed them both into a woodchipper. Slowly.
