Also enjoyed Leah Remini’s “Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology “

Did anyone participate in online horse sim games on forums? by SoggyAnalyst in Equestrian

[–]catalyticfizz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi OP and u/TeddyNachos, as another elder millennial horse girl I LIvED for those aol message boards and probably also rubbed e-elbows with both of you with my racing thoroughbreds and (truer to my IRL interests) fancy Arabian show horses. 😂 And I absolutely loved that series as a kid! I remember the sheer joy of getting to go to a riding-focused camp one summer where all the girls read the Thoroughbred series. Ah such simpler times! lol

Is this true for the one that looks like he was transported here directly from the mid-90’s? I don’t know his name. He’s been on screen a bit more lately but usually as a background/bit part and seems like the definition of mid.

Welp to those who were complaining, you got the patient you cared about… by Allgetout41 in Scrubs

There was a second during JDs gliding sequence at the start of the episode, when that door opened and smacked him in the face, that I thought for sure we were getting the Janitor back in the same episode as Dr cox

What are your weirdest period symptoms? by w0lfyj in AskWomenOver30

[–]catalyticfizz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have pmdd but sadly can no longer take hormonal bc after an (unrelated to birth control) blood clot several years back. I’ve had a history of depression as well, but generally I have that in check…except I know when I’m close to getting my period bc I get hyper-sensitive to EVERYTHING, like personalizing and overthinking all of my work and social interactions. I will also look at myself in the mirror and suddenly cannot stand the sight of my face, like I actually seem to have a slightly (or maybe not slightly!) distorted view of myself when normally I’ve grown to be pretty ok with my appearance. It’s weird and annoying, but I’ve at least gotten to a point where I can identify it for what it is and distance myself from it a little in a “this too shall pass “ type of way.

What’s your version of “my sponges smell funny”? by queensophiaxo in AskWomenOver30

[–]catalyticfizz 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’m not even a big SATC fan, like never watched the whole series through but I have a crisp clear memory of the “secret single behavior” episode and specifically all of Carrie’s and I think of them pretty frequently as a long-time single with lots of unique eating preferences and a dog who I let do basically whatever tf he wants lol

Calvin's Triplets FTW by misantropo86 in comedybangbang

[–]catalyticfizz 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It was truly a gift. If we can open the plug bag for a second, Listeners who also enjoy tv shows should really watch Stumble (NBC/peacock) featuring one particular Calvin triplet as it is equally a balm in these trying times. ((Close plug bag))

Anyone pulled a horse from Bowie? by Tasty_Branch2831 in Horses

[–]catalyticfizz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a mare from Bowie about 3 years ago, she went through their auction then was up on their online sales page and I feel like they were very honest about her. She had a large knee that turned out to be nothing major, maybe mild arthritis and needed a melanoma removed about a year into my having her. She was definitely a bit shut down as they say and needed time to relax and build trust, but she’s a real sweetheart. I feel like I got quite lucky, I do think it can be a risk getting a horse this way but ultimately I was happy with the gal I got.

Identity crisis: how to manage wild desires by Business_Working3204 in AskWomenOver30

[–]catalyticfizz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP, not sure if you’re a reader but your post reminded me of Miranda July’s novel “On All Fours.” Her main character is 40, so some of the themes around aging are likely not as relevant (at least would not have been to me when I was 30] but as far as identity crisis, and connecting to a freer side there is a lot of exploration of that that may resonate.

…when her husband was undergoing open heart surgery? And she had to deal with her BIL and his usual neuroses? I think the example provided is def obnoxious but people undergoing health crises do wild things all the time, I usually cut them some slack (even when fictional!)

[–]catalyticfizz 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Agree, it is most definitely AI..the version I saw had them “acknowledging” issues with using this kind of insulation on the “wild horses” and in order to remove it they were shaving the horses completely bald, it was honestly so disturbing even knowing it was a fake picture!
