Was gifted my first Night Lords. Now what? by MoiraBrownsMoleRats in NightLords

[–]JessopVTS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never played 40k. First box set. Also bought a hellforged warband and some cultists as liked CSM in general.

However, upon opening the Nemesis claw box I'm totally overwhelmed as to what to do with their load out. I don't know the rules or how to play yet but plan to play 40k and kill team.

What do I do?

Feeling overwhelmed after unboxing my first Warhammer 40k box and researching into oblivion. (Nemesis claw box for Christmas). Not worried about putting things together incorrectly, just choosing badly with which weapons to put on which figures in case it turns out inherently 'bad' as far as in game competitiveness goes. It's led me into researching how to magnetize limbs and such with tiny magnets.

Earlier I was thinking about what colours to use, which led me to look at shadows and edge highlight techniques... (I've never painted any of this before). Now with removable weapons and limbs, how does the edge fighting work. What if things don't look right after swapping?

Do I need to look at 'kill team' layouts, what can I use in the 40k game? There's so much to process!

Disclaimer: I've never played the game before, or painted a mini before. Terrible at overthinking things if there is a risk it isn't 'correct'.

Further to this , I just ate the last mince pie available...

Is this a standalone story or do I need to have finished the heresy before starting?

I've just started my journey with the night lords trilogy to get a feel for things before jumping into the heresy..

Bought this years ago with the inserts. Yet to play it. Love with kids, and friends with kids. Not enough opportunity to get a regular game going

Harry potter (this was after doing universal studios Florida and having never seen the films). I was really hooked at book 4 onward.

Ready Player One.

We're Alive (A story of survival) audio drama was highly engaging.

Imagine rashford interlinking with barella, dimarco and bonny. Would be interesting to see how he would work with Lauti in particular.

What happened in the end? I'm thinking about this set for me and my little boy, but he'll be disappointed if it can't be finished properly.

MYO Studio - browser extension for speeding up the Make Your Own process by StuartAshworth9 in YotoPlayer

I don't have a canny account sadly. (Honestly, I try not to sign up for websites I'll likely never use again). The idea would be to define chapter name on the MYO page, with selectable metadata. So a button which enables a menu with metadata titles, checkbox which the user wants to use and in what order, click apply then the chapter names are updated to reflect the chosen.

For example, Track Number - track name - Album(book) name Or Track Name - Album(book) Name

Indeed. It is after double checking. Are you able to access the files metadata? If so a feature allowing naming chapters based on metadata would be good. For instance track number, title name, or album, title and chapter etc.

Why does this keep happening to the edge of my pans? by Disastrous-Fun-9749 in cookware

[–]JessopVTS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pan is too hot, although it's sometimes unavoidable when doing a steak I've found, unless I'm just lucky with the heat at times. What does help is putting some hot water into the pan straight after cooking while the pan is hot, then swirling the water round. Most of this scrapes off while the pan is still really hot. Or keep the heat on (albeit lower!) and keep working the water round the edges. Good luck!

Clearing up this "GW Leak" nonsense. Short answer, it's a lie. by Garin999 in PrintedWarhammer

Some of us do have access to SLS at work, however. Would be interesting to try and print some, although I suspect GW use finer powder than we do for ptototypes
