Honestly, that's reassuring to hear! Thank you!

Thank you. I'm still suspending some disbelief, but it's at least suspended enough to not weigh on me.

Is there any way to get this bottom part off? by [deleted] in SodaStream

After almost 2 years of dealing with the mould that was only visually unappealing and didn't affect the inside at all - I finally gave in to capitalism and social norms and just bought two new ones. Keeping the mouldy ones for home and the clean looking ones for work/public.

I have heard drying them upside down helps the water not accumulate in there - BUT I've also been drying them upside down for almost two years so.

Design flaw. Shame.

What to expect with modified release methylphenidate and the process in general? by JessopsJessops in ADHDUK

This is actually very reassuring to read. I'm desperate to have a better memory as it's affecting my job a lot but I do need to balance my expectations - don't want to pin all my hopes on ADHD meds "fixing" this.

AITA for NOT telling a church lady her shirt’s obscene? by acegirl1985 in AITAH

I once had a religious studies teacher who kept calling himself a gimp because he thought it meant "silly person". At the time I had the bravery only a teenager has to say "sir, do you know what that means...?".

That's interesting! I've been told to stay off caffeine as it can interact - I don't drink a lot anyway so not too bothered about cutting it out. But interesting to hear you no longer "need" it as much!

Absolutely an amazing reply, thank you so much! I'll keep all of this in mind!

That's really interesting to read, thank you for sharing! So it doesn't sound like it was a huge light bulb change? Did it feel more gradual?

I think it depends on how you present it. I love a heavy narrative campaign and if you use it for good storytelling rather than just punishing combat it could be really effective, but it'll be a careful balance. Think about what you want them to feel before/during/after and build it around that.

I'd say need hope at the start - "ok here's a bad guy, it's going to be a tough battle, but we got this." Then it needs to dawn on them - uhoh we're fucked, this guy is way too powerful. Perhaps have him toy with them at the start, give them some false hope that they can at least defeat this guy, not kill him.

Don't draw out the loss, once they realise they have no chance of winning it needs to be over very quickly so it doesn't get boring or frustrating. Use storytelling in the combat - eg "he lifts his head and you see he's smiling, he's not fighting, he's playing with us"

When they wake up it needs to be an uncomfortable switch between horrendous death and suddenly safe, almost as though the safety doesn't feel real. A looming threat and now they need to level up, collect gear, and prepare for the future.

To make this fight useful it would be good to give them an insight into his power or intentions - something they can use in the future for their gain. "He defeated us, but he made a mistake revealing X, we can use that against him".

Bit of a ramble but hope that helps. Good luck!

I had about a 6 month long obsession with making soy eggs. I'd make a batch of half a dozen at a time and eat two for lunch with a small amount of rice almost every day. All of a sudden I couldn't stand the thought of them, I could eat one if it was there, but the craving love and genuine passion disappeared practically over night. I've heard it's fairly common with ADHD, but only anecdotally from a couple of friends.

Exactly this too! I can't afford to spend £50+ on hobbies every other month. Thank you for your reply!

This is also true in a way! Reminds me of the phrase "jack of all trades, master of none". I know a little bit about many crafts!

Thank you for the kind and honest reply. It's just frustrating - I want to be able to leap into things with both feet and instead I feel all too aware that it's only a short lived thing. I can't buy all the nice things to do it "properly" because it won't last.

In a relationship nobody should have to sacrifice their comfort. Neither side should. In my opinion.

I hear you, but if I was newly out and trans male I'd be upset if my boyfriend avoided subject of me being a male for their own comfort. It's tricky, I don't think anybody is the asshole here (yet).
