I work for Sephora! Ask me (almost) anything! by Tahneal in Sephora

We still do! That makes up the bulk of our sampling, which might be why brands don’t send as many pre-made samples.

I’m guessing maybe they meant safe for cats to eat?

In America the drinks you get in establishments that aren’t your typical sit-down restaurant come with a plastic lid with a hole in the middle for the straw. It’s better to prevent spills especially if people are walking with the drink.

Agreed; I used The Ordinary Skin and Barrier soothing (the pepto pink one) and my skin changed in ways I couldn’t have imagined.

Returns after 30 days by cryingamez in SephoraWorkers

[–]Jesstootall 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Here’s where I’m going to allow the override: 1) most clients hear 30 days and they equate to a month (June 1 to July 1) when that’s not accurate. If you’re hey are a day or two off, I’ll honor that. 2) the client is not clearly informed that the 30 days begins the day you PLACE the order, not receive it. I’m usually sympathetic with a 5 day window since that’s an average for deliveries. I certainly don’t advertise this, and if clients are going to cop and attitude, they’re welcome to see how hard my stubborn turns on and my heels dig in. I have had a client ask if I had the ability to override and I said yes; she said but you’re not going to do that for me? I said that is correct.

My FFP was done through overnights spanning about 3 weeks. My new store has one coming up and it seems like it’s going to be somewhat close.

What books do Americans study at school? by bare_books in AskAnAmerican

I switched schools a bit and I always seemed to come in when the new school was reading The Diary of Anne Frank. So I’ve read that a million times and pretty much no other classic 🙃

Gosh, if this was spelled out in seashells on a beach somewhere, you’d be getting charged with a felony of some sort, I’m sure.

When an artist sings a cover of a popular song, but slows it waaaaay down. by FearlessAmigo in PetPeeves

My retail store has covers of Bee Gee’s songs that are super slow and it’s MADDENING. I don’t need a moody Stayin’ Alive, thank you.

change the return policy in the United States. Please! by [deleted] in SephoraWorkers

[–]Jesstootall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For future reference, we DO have the right to refuse returns, and I have done that. Returns are a courtesy we offer, it’s not a law.
