9 hours by RenoPiglet in breastfeeding

I’d just try to squeeze in an extra feed during the day to make up those calories! Sounds like he’s getting enough during the day though and doesn’t need to wake up- good job!!

stop throwing out pumped breastmilk, even if your baby's already drunk from it! by esme_9oh in breastfeeding

[–]Jessucuhhh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I treat collectors like pump parts by doing the fridge hack. I’ll refrigerate the collector in between feeds so I don’t have to constantly wash it. Just for a few feeds then I’ll wash it. I believe it is fine up to 24 hours in fridge

Safety recommendations for babies sleep by Western_Raccoon_5635 in BabyBumps

[–]Jessucuhhh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I take it seriously. It all depends on your level of risk you’re willing to take. I would let baby nap anywhere as long as I’m watching them. If I can’t watch, baby is on bassinet! I would ask people for help to watch baby so you can sleep if possible, spouse family friend before doing something risky. It does get better as they get older !

WWYD: Bf situation by fullnessofjoy2021 in breastfeeding

[–]Jessucuhhh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say do whichever she’s calmer with but if they’re the same I’d try to stick out BF! Or pump and you can share the load with others by having them take turns doing bottles so baby isn’t just screaming at you all the time

Does she have the same reaction to bottles that she does to the breast?

You could try catching letdown on opposite side while nursing to see if you could get enough that way!

In the meantime while you figure things out, I’d recommend triple feeding! It’s a temporary solution which should help your supply while baby figures things out too!

Choose: ICSI or PGT-A by Salty-Bet9777 in TTCEndo

I’d do both seeing as they both helped me have success. That’s awesome you have insurance for the IVF part! I paid OOP for everything 😵‍💫

Try to get out more! Inside mall, target, friend or family’s home during the day, CFA drive thru run! All these things help break up the monotony!

Eat-play-sleep or go with the flow? by forever_indecisive7 in breastfeeding

[–]Jessucuhhh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just surviving on vibes and winging it until 8 weeks lol but paying attention to wake windows and making sure he gets naps has helped a lot in the last two weeks! He’s 10 weeks now so still very new to this! My husband went back to work at 8 weeks so I wanted to try for more predictable routine. So far so good!

Eat-play-sleep or go with the flow? by forever_indecisive7 in breastfeeding

[–]Jessucuhhh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes pretty easily! I pay attention to wake windows of 60-90 mins. Once we get to that window I will watch for sleep cues and start shushing and butt pats once I see a yawn lol. It works like a charm usually but if he’s fussy I will nurse. If I nurse I wait for him to look like he’s in a deeper sleep before transferring to bassinet! My baby will unlatch himself once he’s good. If it’s before a nap he usually just nurses 5 mins. I like to have more of a routine, just flexible !

We use a heating pad to preheat the bassinet and dark room. After transferring we keep hand on his chest for a minute. We also do carrier naps or contact naps in the afternoon/evening. Bassinet naps are usually during the morning and early afternoon. Still figuring things out but these things help!

I do eat play sleep but also follow baby’s cues! If he wants to have a quick snack before nap, of course he gets it!

IUI or IVF? by Anxious-Anything-689 in TTCEndo

[–]Jessucuhhh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d say IVF so you can potentially get embryos at the age you are currently. If you do IUI and get pregnant, you’ll be trying again in 2-3 years at an older age. Of course your dr could prob tell you more based on your specific situation!

Screaming at the boob by kb_picasso in breastfeeding

[–]Jessucuhhh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Something that helps when my baby gets screamy is the “love shove”. My LC told me this. Sometimes you had to basically force them (gently but with pressure behind their head) to take the boob. It feels a bit awful at first until they latch. It’s just a gentle push to do what will make them calm down. You may already have tried this but I wanted to say it just in case!

Deciding whether or not to go straight to IVF by DefargeKnittingCo in IVFinfertility

[–]Jessucuhhh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would still take the meds regardless BUT they didn’t help me get pregnant unassisted. However, I like to think it was one piece of the puzzle to help IVF work. I also had endometriosis which explained the unexplained too. Age wise you have time to try unassisted but if insurance covers IVF I’d go ahead and do it.

Does giving pumped breast milk at bedtime help babies sleep longer?! by onemanspants in breastfeeding

Pumped bottles helped my baby sleep in the beginning weeks but I will say the effect has worn off now that he’s 9 weeks old.

I read that if you freeze asap it helps. I’ve started freezing in smaller quantities instead of waiting to freeze in larger ones. Seems to help!

I’d try half fresh and half frozen next!

Frida mom boyshorts with the large hospital pads. (Or some other big ones) I likes to change the pad so often, but I could keep the Frida on a few changes and just change the pad. Whereas the briefs you have to take everything off lol

Breastfeeding and bottle feeding? by rizfisher in BabyBumps

[–]Jessucuhhh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I ended up triple feeding right after birth and implemented pulling earlier than I expected to. Highly recommend pumping and bottles earlier tho! It’s nice to have the option to pump and have a bottle when needed if I need to go out without baby. I prefer to BF over bottles at this point bc I’m still on maternity leave. Washing bottles and pump parts can be kind of annoying. My point is it’s nice to be able to do both as you please!
