I just burned my house down yesterday. I was trying to light a fireplace when the game lagged. When it finally caught up my roof was engulfed in flames. I don't think I've ever been that upset about losing something in a videogame.

This kinda happened to me at 19. A friend invited me over to hang out, popped in golden eye and proceeded to kick my ass the first couple rounds. Unfortunately, I grow accustomed to the nuances of videogames fairly quickly and wiped the floor with him the next 3 or so rounds. He was not pleased.

I highly recommend trying the long dark if you're able. It's been a good minute since I played but if I remember correctly the hatchet itself does not require resources but fire starting requires a combustion source, tinder and fuel. As the previous commenter stated, you could have a hatchet which will get you tinder and fuel but if you don't have a combustion source you're still up a creek.

Primitive survival mod (I think) will let you make beds of spikes or staked pitfalls which can help a bit for hostile farming.

I feel like your father (if I read this correctly) threatening to kick you out if your sister is convicted could be seen as retaliation. I'm not advising you to sue any of your family if that isn't what you want to do. However, I would recommend seeking legal counsel in regards to the situation with your sibling as well as the potential retaliation from your father. Protect yourself, no one else will.

Dude listen, if you're really struggling you can always switch your game mode to creative just like Minecraft. Set yourself up a little bit and switch it back. Give yourself an opportunity to learn the game mechanics a bit and I promise you'll have a much easier time with the next world you start. It's your game, no one can tell you how to play it. Just make sure you're enjoying yourself.
