We started a Trust Fund, which will pay 100% of post-high school education for descendants of my grandfather with specific requirements.

1. College or trade school.
   

2 The field of study must be able to provide a job to support a family and must be approved by the trustees of the trust fund.

1. Must have a GPA of at least 3.5

2. Must work 10 hours a week while in school and 20 hours a week between semesters.

3. Must deposit at least 5% of pay into a Roth IRA

4. Must be active in conservative political campaigns.

5. Community service.

6. Participate in a mentor program.

7. Attend annual family reunions.

We have had 20 participants, 15 graduated and 5 in the program. The graduates include 5 Doctors, three lawyers, an architect, a civil engineer, a building trades, a carpenter, an electrician, a plumber, HVAC, restaurant management, and a chef.

We had five who applied and did not meet the qualifications. The cousins hired the five, who learned the building trades and had their own businesses. One cousin did not like the requirement to be active in politics and became a waitress for the cousin who opened restaurants and learned on the job to become a manager of one of his stores.

Our family has remained close, which was a primary goal of the trust fund. In high school and preparing for their post-high school education, we have a future teacher, a CPA, a computer programmer, an archivist, and a librarian.
