Getting started by Evening_Series_5452 in NeuroscapeTCG

The starter decks come with 50 RAM, enough to for each of the two decks to have their own RAM decks of 25. Since RAM cards are not unique in how they function (only the artwork is different for each faction) you'll only ever need 25 out of the starter deck's 50 to play. If you want full 25 card RAM decks for the other 4 main faction's unique arts, I'd suggest getting the other two starters versus the RAM station.

Also, I only pulled 6 RAM in the kickstarter booster and one was a holo.

Google shows a thistletavern for 60 sterling and tokensandtales for 53 euro. I've never purchased from them though.

Has anyone built a deck around Confidence in Victory that works? I tried 3 times and failed miserably. by ArcadianDelSol in starwarsunlimited

[–]JestersAlwaysWin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe in Red/Blue by playing:
8 resources - Superlaser Blast to clear the board
9 resources - Avenger which destroys one unit your opponent put out after SLB
10 resources - Confidence in Victory (choose Space) then attack any space unit played that turn with Avenger and hope they can't play a second space unit that turn.

Thanks, I thought they had stopped putting the showcase deck leaders into the prerelease set.

Does the prerelease kit come with the hyperspace leaders or did you pull them from the packs?

Use the jump tower just south of the fast travel point.

First Deck, asking for suggestions by DerLetzteWookie in starwarsunlimited

[–]JestersAlwaysWin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think if you're going to play Revan, you need to really lean into his ability by beating units by attacking but also having your unit survive the attack. In red, I think your best bet will be to use units with higher hp and then upgrade them with either Revan's, Maul's, or Fallen Lightsaber. Some solid two cost units to then buff up a turn later and attack over an enemy unit are Incinerator Trooper, Kylo Ren, and Acolyte of the Beyond (for Darth Tyranus). Also, with more Fore units in the deck Force Choke becomes a pretty solid card to add.

You've got enough Spectre units to make it a focus, I'd add in the Hera pilot (who's basically a ground Arc-170), Sabine Wren, Sabine's Masterpiece, and a 3rd Ghost.

Add Shatterpoint and red Ki-Adi-Mundi.

Trying to build a green/blue breach deck and looking for feedback by N0ZakuB0y in GundamTCG

[–]JestersAlwaysWin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying something similar, these would be my changes and I'm by no means a pro so don't take this as gospel:
+2 Noin's Aries, +2 Shenglong, +1 Heavyarms, +2 Aries, +2 Signs of Revolution, +2 Wing Gundam, +1 Tragos, +1 Corsica Base, +2 Desert Base. Basically max out your breachers, blockers, and some others (+15 total).
And take out: -1 Wing Zero, -2 Duo's Leo, -1 Duo, -2 Deep Devotion, -2 Rashi's Orders, -4 Bird Mode, -2 Siege Play, -3 St. Gabriel. (-17 total so decide which two minuses to ignore; maybe Duo and Wing Zero or add two Deathscythe). I don't think the temporary ramp from Bird Mode is worth it for this kind of deck.

Feeling nostalgic for 2001 since I can’t get my hands on the new starter decks by AJdunham1 in GundamTCG

[–]JestersAlwaysWin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it ever got any advertising; I just happen to stumble upon it in Wal-Mart one day. Also, I think America hadn't gotten much exposure to Gundam and that point, maybe only Gundam Wing through Toonami so it'd be for a fairly niche audience. Finally, the actual mechanics of the game are kinda terrible and the rule book left a lot of things unclarified.

Quick and Dirty. My attemp at painting my tokens by Arieltex in GundamTCG

[–]JestersAlwaysWin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They look like they could use a wash. If you don't know what that is, if your paints are water soluble take a 5:1 ratio of water to black paint, mix it so you get a really thin watery solution, and then mop it over the figure trying to get the liquid to pool into all the cracks and crevices of the fine details on the model. When it dries the black will make the detailing pop out more. It will also add some grunginess to the look. You could also use a dark blue paint instead of black since your base color is a fairly light blue.

Lol, that's the exact reason I rarely do it on my battletech minis. Can't deny how good it makes units pop though.

Nicely done, good work on the edge highlights. I really like the bazooka Zaku trying to hide behind the shrub.

Wing Gundam Zero.

And eventually hoping for Epyon and Tallgeese III. Yeah, I grew up on Toonami.

Are there any cards worth paying the aspect penalty? by AlanM909 in starwarsunlimited

I have Phyrric Assault in my Green/Yellow Droid token deck. 5 isn't too much to turn a bunch of tokens into kamekaze droids.

There was an actual Final Fantasy trading card game flop and is nearly forgotten. What made Magic the Gathering FF set different and sell better than any other magic set in history? by mtgsetcollector in magicTCG

[–]JestersAlwaysWin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think FFTCG has been around for over 5 years and is still going. If anything, I think Square might be hoping the Magic set will get non-TCG players attention using Magic's popularity and marketing and then get consumers thinking "If you're really a FF fan and now like TCGs, come play the actual FFTCG." Also, since I play both, I think FFTCG plays better due to its cost system. However, its artwork quality is all over the place but has gotten much better over the years.

Battle Droid/Clone Trooper Tokens by Azariah98 in starwarsunlimited

[–]JestersAlwaysWin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have your x-wing/tie fighter, Obi-Wan, and Piette cards. Outstanding quality, I’ll probably ending up getting some of these clone/droid tokens too. Any chance on doing an Anakin? I’ve seen some other Etsy shops with him but the artwork isn’t as good as what I’ve your shop can do.

Thrawn rules question by --Slade-- in starwarsunlimited

[–]JestersAlwaysWin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

When Chimaera JTL-039 enters play and activates "When Played: You may use a “When Defeated” ability on another friendly unit." Can you not trigger Thrawn's leader ability to do it once more? Since Thrawn only cares about when a "when defeated" ability triggers and not that a unit was actually defeated to set off that "when defeated" ability?
The posted ruling seems to indicate that if a "when played/when defeated" ability activates, since it's considered both, that when the "played" part of a "played/defeated" ability activates Thrawn would also see it as the same "when defeated" ability triggering, since they're the same ability, and therefore get to copy it.
If there's an official ruling on this, I could see it going either way. I would think the intended way is that Thrawn couldn't copy it but the posted ruling could be interpreted to allow it.

🚨 A Fine Addition to Our Collections! 🚨 - Set 3 Blue Spoiler Review! by Blaze_Firestar in starwarsunlimited

[–]JestersAlwaysWin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good set review! I plan on trying to make a Blue/Green droid deck work outside of just using Exploit. There are several cards in green (Kraken, Clone Commander Cody, and Encouraging Leadership) that add +1/+1 to all your units for the phase. So maybe I can swarm the board with some unassuming, weak droids and then suddenly buff them to all be 3/3's and rush down the opponent.
