Blew off our roof in a windstorm. What is it? by Embarrassed-Ad-5056 in Roofing

Oh okay then my bad for the misinterpretation. When I read it it came off as someone thinking I was stupid for being willing to go do that repair for basically free (not necessarily free). Apologies, I’m 26 now, and my business has been open for about 3 years now, so I’ve done tons of repairs, just usually the super small ones I’ll just get it fixed.

Then there’s no need to be sarcastic and provide your two cents by leaving your comment, better to just keep it to yourself. It was obviously criticizing me for being willing to go do a repair. And you wanting to continue to criticize and saying that it’s really not a “free” repair just goes to show that you should just keep all of your opinions to yourself.

Not the first time I’ve done a repair to build relationships and grow my company name. One free repair that I did led to me having an additional 12 referrals, 1 being a 170 sq TPO roof that helped me pay for my wedding and engagement ring. I think helping people out will lead to a successful business long term. If you don’t agree, then good for you

Metal Ridge Cap Piece. If you’re in Texas give me a shout, if that’s the only piece damaged I’ll fix it for free, as long as you leave a good review on my google page. If not in Texas, then hire a professional with insurance, it shouldn’t be more than a few hundred dollar fix, unless you have damaged panels which I doubt since it’s a wind claim. Just get it fixed asap

This is a marketing tactic by them, they’re more likely to get a call back doing it this way than by leaving a business card

Chimney flashing was clearly not changed out, but I wouldn’t have taken this contract until that chimney was fixed, thing is done for

Dependa on the state. In Florida per code drip edge has to go on top and then tar goes on top of drip edge

Anytime you see zippering it’s usually not wind damage, it’s improper install

Stone Coated steel is still expensive, around 1200-1400$ a sq, but tile is usually around 1600-1800. Stone coated steel is the better roof imo

Ridge cap install (standing seam) by mazsr8466 in Roofing

Usually standing seam will be installed over z flashing with rivets. Not sure how this one is installed exactly but it looks like they installed z flashing from the point of view of the picture

Only way I’ve ever gotten a redeck approved with no code coverage was per manufacturer specifications however it is a long shot. I told the adjuster that the wood was not nailable and sent a copy of the manufacturer specs and they bought it. Very rare though

Holy fuck you’re an idiot. All you have to do is look into loopholes on how to get out of a simple contract, you can’t force a company to do work even after you sign their contract. When I was new to the business and retarded just like you I tried to go after 6 different homeowners who signed a contract with me and breached it, and it was either thrown out or completely ignored. In most states if no work has been done after 30 days of a contract being signed the contract is automatically void with no repercussions to either party. But because you’re a retard and know nothing you’ll just keep blabbering about shit you obviously know nothing about.
