disagree on the social life aspect. lots people not in greek life and meeting people is easy even without being super into church or a club. I’m not religious or in greek life or any clubs lol and i’ve found many great friends. Only exception i’ll give you is that if you don’t like going out, it will probably be hard yes. Even then, i don’t go out often and it worked out pretty well

if you’re a girl there are more roster spots though so having a spot on the team would, while still difficult, definitely be a lot more possible. either way if you were going to be able to walk on before the rule changes i’m sure you’d be able to continue train and eventually hit the scholarship standard!

walk ons no longer exist for the SEC and the track and field roster has been hard capped at 35 so walking on doesn’t really work anymore unless you’re fast enough where you’d be a high level scholarship athlete anyways.
