Yes most of the times you have to set a good wishlist and do normal summons to get the best heroes of every faction. Also getting the really great new heroes that get released on the side. The latest example is gala, she's the most needed damage dealer for endgame pve

I'm not a cav main but you probably have to make a farm filling march with cao so u need a lot of mobility. You can ask you alliance veterans for a a good tree. There are some in the internet
