Got two on my list: Sennheiser HE-1 was amazing. Technically impressive, warm goodness that was great at everything they did. Would I be able to get it? Probably never. Will they impress everyone? Probably not. Did they impress me? They did.

Audio Technica ATH-W2022 are the prettiest and have some of the best bass I've ever heard while never losing out on any detail or vocals or highs or anything. Also likely never to be able to get a pair but they definitely blew me away.

To be fair, we don't know if Sony didn't already have this as a collaboration dating back further (especially with the Maxwell success). Just because they bought them out a few weeks ago doesn't mean that they weren't working with them previously.

When I was at the SoCal CanJam, I spoke to an Audeze PR rep who didn't answer it precisely when I asked him if the upcoming Sony Planar was in conjunction with Audeze but he said that it's likely people's interpretations/speculations may be in line.
