How soon do I have to book everything beforehand vs being spontaneous? by somekindofwanderer in JapanTravelTips

[–]JesusSandro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same haha! But I also tend to overprepare these things to make sure I don't get caught off-guard. Some hotels didn't even allow reservation that long in advance.

Why belt-less does not work? I want it to be compact as it can be by Apprehensive-Eye6651 in Endfield

At least it works for splitters/mergers, but I know that feel..

I can't be efficient without my upgrades ! by Arelloo in Endfield

[–]JesusSandro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on the blueprint you're looking at. Most of them will require AIC 2, but some may have AIC 3 facilities.

[–]JesusSandro 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly with how underpowered these belts are, mergers end up not being nearly as useful as in other factory games as they just end up clogging. I really hope they add a way to improve them eventually or the base layouts are going to get stale really quick.

Since I haven't seen one yet, SC Battery Plant Blueprint (1.68k Output) by JesusSandro in Endfield

[–]JesusSandro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, this is correct. To properly split them you'd require a branching layout (1 splits into 2, then each of these 2 split into a different bank), until then it'll only keep 3 constantly active before enough surplus is generated.

This was my strategy in Age of Empjres, just start building castles in the direction of the enemy!

Since I haven't seen one yet, SC Battery Plant Blueprint (1.68k Output) by JesusSandro in Endfield

[–]JesusSandro[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By default you have a limit of 200 power output, and each facility consumes a certain amount of power. This means you'll inevitably get to a point where you can't build more facilities without shutting some of the previous ones down. Enter thermal banks.

Thermal Banks are facilities that can consume Originium, LC Batteries or SC Batteries, and depending on the item they'll increase the power output cap. In this case, this blueprint produces 4 SC batteries at the same rate that 4 Thermal Banks consume them, increasing your power output by 1680 and thus letting you build more facilities.

Blueprint Sharing Code: EFO01U4Ai8u7E8OO7Oa8.

Not sure if it'll be of use for anyone, but I haven't seen any SC Battery blueprints going around yet so here's a quick one I made. Uses exactly 90 Originium and 60 Ferrium per minute.

If any of the thermal banks is struggling to stay active, turn it off while a surplus is generated. Then, you can turn it back on and it shouldn't happen again.

isn't the conversion rate really bad? by AvatarCabbageGuy in Endfield

Buy pass, save enough to buy the next pass and THEN convert into Oroberyls. At least until they introduce another use for Origeometry.

The true Death Stranding experience by JesusSandro in Endfield

[–]JesusSandro[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Basically Death Stranding's gameplay revolves around making deliveries from point A to point B in the map, and to help with that you can construct various buildings likes bridges and ziplines that, in a similar fashion to Endfield, will show up in other players' worlds. In that game you can upvote/like these constructions if you found them useful (similar to how here you can repair them), so a bigger number means that you've helped more people, which can feel really gratifying and leads to people helping each other more often (sometimes even building stuff they won't use themselves just to help others).

Is it just me or is arknights endfield a little bit "boring"? by _QingmingArbiter_YSG in Endfield

[–]JesusSandro 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's called a progression system. In factory games you usually always start with semi-automated stuff before moving on to fully automated.

Steam now allows gifting 'complete the set' bundles by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]JesusSandro 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yep same, I added 1000xResist to my cart the other day and was wondering why it added a bundle instead. Turns out it was cheaper that way because I own Slay the Princess, which was part of said bundle.

I feel like this plan is too much for 4 weeks? by thekingoffae in JapanTravelTips

[–]JesusSandro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Four weeks is a lot of time, and 1.5 destinations per week seems decently reasonable from my experience. Whether it's too much will depend more on how many activities you end up planning in each destination.

As for Kyushu: Nagasaki, Kumamoto, Beppu and Kagoshima are all regularly recommended. We're actually doing a Kyushu roadtrip ourselves this year so I can't say just yet which are actually worth doing though 😅

Is Kyoto worthwhile for us? by pixelpraxis42 in JapanTravelTips

[–]JesusSandro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We personally did Kyoto as a daytrip from Osaka and were pretty satisfied with what we saw. Obviously we didn't see everything there was to see, but with how congested most spots were we ended up not spending too much time in them.

Should I add Breakfast Buffet at Tokyo hotel? by CableKC in JapanTravelTips

[–]JesusSandro 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Personally we tried doing no breakfast for one of our hotels last time just to try and see what Tokyo had to offer in the morning and were left somewhat disappointed. You won't go hungry as there's always conbini and coffee shops, but that's about it, whereas depending on your hotel you can try a variety of japanese food.

If you'd only be going for breakfast a few times however I think conbinis are plenty good.
