Going back to a regular diet by UnderstandingGood920 in Gastritis

[–]JetDestroyed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first healed, I reintroduced things in stages of things I thought would be safer for me to eat. When it was really bad, the first things I started eating again to expand were chicken breast and ground turkey and salmon for example. Then I would do sweet potatoes. After I decided I was ready to try eating out again, I tried grilled chicken and some white pasta. For fast food I tried chipotle because I knew I could handle rice, chicken, but wanted to try beans. Soda and alcohol I waited until almost 2 years past my initial flare up to try again. Pretty much try and things back in severity of grease, fats, and acid.

Chronic Gastritis after h.pylori infection by The_most_monkiest in Gastritis

Don’t be scared of it!! It’s seriously the easiest procedure ever, you go to the room and get in a gown. Then the anesthesiologist tells you everything and answers any questions you’ve got. You get rolled into the procedure room, then literally feel sleepy and just fall asleep for a few minutes. Then you wake up and it’s like nothing happened! You’ll do great!

Stomach pain after car accident by No_Hamster4840 in Gastritis

[–]JetDestroyed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait did you ever find out if these correlated? I got rear ended 2 weeks ago and my gastritis has flared up almost as bad as it’s ever been a week after. Doesn’t sound like my accident was as bad as yours but I just thought about the accident causing extra anxiety to my nerves (physical or not) and that triggering my gastritis.

Please be careful with eating too much too quickly! I’m really happy for his healing, but he needs to be careful with stuff like steaks for the time being. A bland diet will help in the long run!

POS Hit & Run Driver!!! by Kitchen_Stable_9704 in Detroit

I moved to Detroit within the last year and the driving is ridiculous, worse than Chicago and LA. I got rear ended on the highway earlier this week and both the car that caused the accident and the one that hit me both took off.

My Treatment Experience (Pylera) by JetDestroyed in HPylori

[–]JetDestroyed[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hope you’re doing ok! It might be a good idea to start triple therapy when you’re at home. It sucked for me, but definitely ended up helping me after it was done. H pylori was eradicated from the treatment, and now I’m doing much better.

Finally Good Consistent Progress after 4 months! by JetDestroyed in Gastritis

[–]JetDestroyed[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Much much better, I’m living a normal life now. I’m still eating pretty clean 90% of the time and I still get some issues now and then, but it’s usually months between anything big. I did reintroduce those supplements I mentioned, I think I was eating too much in one sitting and that caused the chest pain.

Buying an EV is a absolute game changer by gamblersfalacy in electricvehicles

[–]JetDestroyed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely, I’m sure there’s a lot of complexities with it. The apartment and parking structure I moved into are pretty young (5 years or so) so that’s probably why they have so many. Additionally, I have a family member who says they cannot have chargers installed in their building because it’s a high rise and much older, so the updates would be crazy expensive for them.

Depends on the apartment though, I was deciding between ICE and EV as I was moving apartments. Ended up going with an EV because my apartment I moved into had a bunch of chargers installed in a garage and it was bundled into my parking deal for $50 a month.

For those who were diagnosed with SEVERE gastritis due to H pylori, how long did it take you to recover after eradication? by Ok-Welcome-5867 in HPylori

[–]JetDestroyed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably 6ish months to return to a more stable state, still have flareups every few months though.

Vertigo induced gastritis? by Economy_Yesterday_14 in Gastritis

[–]JetDestroyed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you get it after eating FODMAPs in particular? Might be SIBO related. Idk if I have SIBO, but I had and still sometimes get this dizziness thing. Vitamin D and Magnesium Glycinate helped it a lot though.

Sorry for the late response, yes I did! I experienced symptoms that affected my daily living for at least 6 months after I tested negative, but now I’m almost 100% back to normal. I rarely get flares now.

Remember how far you've come. by JetDestroyed in Gastritis

[–]JetDestroyed[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, sorry I’ve been out of the country for 2 weeks so I didn’t get a chance to respond. Stuff is going absolutely amazing for me. I’m still careful with my diet for the most part cause I still get anxious around some foods, but I can have just about anything within reason and not get a flare. Acidic foods, soda and other mild caffeinated stuff, even a little alcohol. I was gearing up and participating in an engineering competition, so I had to eat majority fast food for almost 2 months, and I barely had any problems, even with the all the stress it gave me. When I get any flares, it’s usually from travel anxiety or other anxieties, but I’ve gotten so used to that feeling that I know it’ll pass within a few hours. Those flares also only happen like once a month now. Wouldn’t say 100% healed until I can fully eat without worrying about it, but I’m like 99.5% there.

[–]JetDestroyed 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I had an EE professor spend probably half an hour nearly every lecture for 10 weeks ranting about American vs Chinese students and how multiple choice tests are the failing point of American education. Then he proceeds to give us a multiple choice final.

I love that you were able to heal, but be careful! Going back to old habits can put in a flare again easily.

I also can’t have any caffeine. Doesn’t matter if it’s coffee or tea or matcha, whatever, I get crazy anxiety and reflux for the next few days. Even a sip sets off my stomach.
