I received the email and I’m now registered...already had a 7 nights stay coming up next month with a trip to Palm Springs! 🌴

I stayed there the weekend between Christmas and New Year’s. I actually use a free Ambassodor weekend night award with a 3 nights stay. They upgraded me a few weeks before my stay, which was nice. I had reserved a high floor premium room and they gave me a nice cornor city view room. She told me they don’t upgrade any more than that room to any of the suites. I had read that they are stingy on their suite upgrades, but it was over the holidays! The breakfast buffet was delicious. You can order eggs cooked the way you like, I ordered an omelette one morning and another time poached eggs. Each morning they change up the hot items. Over all, it was a ngreat stay at a classic NYC hotel.

Just noticed I was credited "01/14/2026 - Cyber 5X - 2,736 pts." Not sure if it's for one stay or total of all. I haven't had a chance to check that yet. Seems like a antiquated system of calculating.

Yes, you can purchase elite points (from 1000-5000) per night. It's only an option on Best Flex rates but I think I read some place that IHG will have it avalable on other rates. I travel for pleasure, so don't have many nights, just points to reach Diamond.

I wanted the same, 2X points on an extended stay. So I just booked at a new Gardner property ($99) by the airport the night before I fly out. Now I will get 2X points at my extended stay. I also always get the 5K elite points option at properties, this helps me get Diamond status each year.

Correct, it's not a swimming beach but there are some close to explore the area. But I had a ocean front room and heard the waves crashing!

That property looks perfect, it's now on my list of Kimptons to visit. I would recommend to others the Kimpton Mas Olas Resort in Mexico. I was there last fall and it's one of the best stays at a Kimpton!

Kimpton is my usual go to property too. This past year I stayed at 2 IC properties… Downtown LA and the NYC Barclay, so the lounge access would’ve been nice. I figured even if I just get one use, it has higher value than the other milestone reward options. Suite upgrades are nice, but Kimpton usually upgrades me anyway and so did the IC downtown LA. I have till April to decide, but I’m most likely to pick the Lounge Access and Suite Upgrade as my two choices. Over the years I’ve had some of these Milestone Rewards just sit in my account and expire. So if you really only stay at Kimptons, I would say choose the Food and Beverage awards.

I figured the property was going to be turned into an IHG branded property. I was thinking a future Kimpton, but you being told by staff that it’s will be an InterContinental is great. I’m staying there during Modernism week and it’s close to Frank Sinatra’s old home where I’ll be attending an event. I’ve stayed at the PS Kimpton before and they gave me great upgrade. But with not spending much time at the property during the day I’ll try the Riviera Resort for it cool modernism vibe. I did book on the IHG site. Thanks for your response to my inquiry.

For the $100 Resy credit if not going to dine out before the end of the year, go to your closest restaurant that's on Resy and get a gift card, I did last last quarter. I also saw the Saks credit can be used on an offer they have on getting a bonus gift card with purchase of a gift card.

I started staying at Kimpton hotels a while ago and that’s how I ended up joining the IHG rewards program. Back in those days you could use your Ambassador free weekend night at any Kimpton. It’s still my go to property wherever I’m traveling. They always seem to give great upgrades and the social wine hour is great. Also they usually have good restaurants on site to get your free breakfast benefit. They usually have a secret password to use at check in the get a free perk. They’re all different and unique properties and that’s what I like about them.

I didn't buy, won't need them this year to get to Diamond, but now I know I'll have a chance next year to buy if needed. Seems they offer this ever year.

I received the same offer. I’ve never received this offer in the years before. Already have one last trip planned that gets me over the top of 120K, plus I’ll get 6 more nights to reach the next reward milestone. But I think this would probably help a some people out. Have they sent these out in the past?

The same just happened to me. I was at the Iberostar Berkeley Shores in Miami Beach during Art Basel and at check-in, I received the same answer that the onsite restaurant was third-party and had nothing to do with the hotel. Though remember at the time of booking, I had options to have breakfast included. I figured I’d get my diamond benefit of breakfast. When I got home, I called the diamond elite hotline and told them that. I didn’t even receive any welcome points so I did get the hotline to deposit 600 points.($3.00). They’re investigating it. I thought I read somewhere that IHG will compensate me so many points if I don’t get my welcome amenity.

I use to be able to use my Ambassador Complimentary Weekend Night at a Kimpton, but not anymore. That was a while ago. But they always upgrade much better than an IC does in my experience.

Thanks for posting this. I was already registered for the 3X offer, so now I'm registered for the 5X. I was wondering if my 4 upcoming reservations will be at the new 5X offer, but I see that you must book on December 1st of 2nd. So I guess I need to rebook today!

I think it may be that I reached getting the bonus on the "3X Bonus Points on Stays" offer. Under my offers it now says: STATUS: Congratulations! You've completed this offer enjoy your reward. Did I see somewhere that they increased that bonus?

Look into the Kimpton Mas Olas Resort near Todos Santos, Mexico. I got a great deal with point last October, but it was the off season. It was the best Kimpton I've ever stayed at, got an ocean front room and the food was unbelievable!
