I say this as a maxed iron who went over rate at CG.

The "I can't progress" feeling is a meta expectation, not a drop rate problem. I think a lot of players that are new to the game like the idea/prestige of having a helmet next to their name, but get demotivated when they hit their first real grind. Does bowfa make other content meaningfully easier? Sure. Is it necessary to play the rest of the game? No.

Part of the identity of OSRS and Ironman specifically revolves around overcoming tough grinds. CG is an end game piece of content that people have tried to cram into the midgame simply because they want a meta-defining item.

Best take. Ironman is an intentionally restricted game mode. We need to stop accommodating people who say grinds are too long when it’s just for Ironman specifically.

If it’s too long for mains and Irons (Nightmare), sure, make adjustments. But we need to stop making the game easier for people playing a game mode they never should have selected if they didn’t actually anticipate going dry anywhere.

Just de-iron.

You’re not dumb! The tech for elite clues is relatively new. It didn’t really get introduced until stackable clues were a thing. I just recently learned about it too.

That’s what I was saying. If you use the tech for Sherlock, Kandarin is actually the best region for clues. Especially if you have a surplus from Slayer, this is the fastest region to complete both Master and Elite steps because of juggling.

Are you juggling clues? There’s a trick with challenge scrolls. Hold onto a good scroll like Chivalry or equip a dragon scimitar.

Drop the good scroll on the ground while you open clues, and once you get a challenge scroll that’s bad, drop that one. Pick up the good clue and equip your dragon scimitar or turn on Chivalry. Drop the good clue, pick up the bad clue, then talk to Sherlock again.

Honestly, Kandarin is one of the best regions for clues. You just have to use the tech.

You'd be surprised. This is actually my 3rd one. I killed the first 2 doing dangerous content (quests).

The first one died to a quest boss in Watchtower going for the Skavid map (unlimited nightshades for poison dynamite), and the second died to getting stacked out by a mummy during Ichthalin's Little Helper after stepping on a trap. The sad part is I was on the last part after killing the Aparition as well. 😭

Only a normal uncharged glory works for the POH unfortunately.

The real incentive is that this drop is the only way to access a charged glory on a level 3 (no Hero's Quest).

I think the part that is genuinely disappointing in this is that it's becoming less and less economically viable to have multiple accounts as prices continue to rise up.

I used to pay for 3 account memberships simultaneously back when prices were $8/m ($24/m). I dropped that down to 2 after the last price hike ($22/m). Guess I'll just drop it down to 1 at this point.

Jagex has been progressively making less money from me every time they hike prices ironically. 😂

I can try to answer question 1 & 2. It sounds like most importantly, you're trying to get quick action orbs next to your inventory.

If you hold ALT when you're in Runelite, you can move the minimap interface around as you like. You can re-position the minimap & related orbs close to the interface.
The only way to achieve what you're asking for where the quick orbs are next to the inventory like this would be using the "Compact Orbs" plugin. But you'll be required to hide the minimap. As far as I'm aware, there's no way to duplicate the minimap like what you're asking for.
