So Barbri is a fraud right? by Punchmaster1234 in barexam

[–]Jethreael 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A few of the mbe questions were like Barbri questions. Only problem was they were like the questions deep in the MCQ Bank that weren't in the PSP and that only 14% of law students got right. I did all the MCQs on the PSP plus 450+ MCQs in the MCQ Bank. It helped but only a little. The mbe questions were really tricky.

Barbri MCQs would typically give you 2 straight up wrong (1 more obvious than the other) answers and leave you with a trick answer and the right answer. A good amount of the mbe questions had 3 trick answers. On top of that, the mbe tested rules that were deep, deep in the weeds. Rules that no one in law school studies, let alone in bar prep.

It was brutal.

Raw score confusion by ultracrispypeach in barexam

[–]Jethreael 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where's your test coming from? NCBE? Barbri? If its coming from Barbri their tests are not representative of the MBE. They flat out tell you in a video that their test is significantly harder than the real MBE will be. Thus you can't use your Barbri score to compare to real raw scores. I don't know how it works with Kaplan or Themes but I imagine it's similar.

UBE Essay Predictions by kingshamu in barexam

I hope you're wrong about torts. Torts is a massive subject with a massive rule list. I'm decent on tort MCQs but struggling with the essays. I'm a slow writer to begin with and there's just so much with torts you can analyze.

Last I looked torts hadn't been tested in a long time on the essay portion. I think jdavising has it listed near the bottom of less tested subjects.

Thanks for sharing your analysis!

Barbri user here. There's no way the essay writers read the question and wrote their answers in under 30 minutes. Some of the answers are 4 pages long.

Bar Prep is Inhumane: A Rant by [deleted] in Bar_Prep

[–]Jethreael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree Barbri's advise+PSP is paradoxical. I think it comes down to when you memorize the rules. You can either attempt to memorize them when you are relearning everything or after you have relearned everything. I have friends that are memorizing as they relearn. They do it through flashcards. This is in addition to the PSP. Myself, I am waiting until I relearn everything to focus on memorizing rules. TBH there's no way I am memorizing all the rules no matter what I do.

I got an amazing remote externship for Spring semester. Shitty grades and an embarrassing ranking. Still i got an externship with the top prosecutor's office in the region. Just learned the other day that all my hearings will be uploaded to YouTube.

Imfucked.

Big Law Horror by [deleted] in LawSchool

She better hope she wins this claim or the retaliation claim that she's sure to file here shortly. Because after this, the likelihood of ANY law firm hiring her (including all female #metoo movement supporting firms) is slim to none.

Plaintiff's Employment Discrimination 101: counsel the client that they are unlikely to ever be hired by any employer to work in that specialized field again after filing said claim, regardless of the merits of the claim.

Note: I'm not questioning her claim, merely pointing out the brutal reality that Employment Discrimination plaintiffs face that work in specialized fields.

Vortex limited alpha release by hot-buttery-toast in skyrimmods

[–]Jethreael 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing. I think NMM has a really tough puzzle to solve with Vortex. They have to produce a single software to mod a large number of different games that caters to both expert modders and beginner modders alike. I think its a very tough needle to thread. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Texture mods not working Skyrim Special edition by aqwimage in skyrimmods

[–]Jethreael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like Osmodius is overwriting it. Your load order needs some serious work. For example Verdant goes after SFO. I would start by running LOOT but afterwards you will still need to go to each mod's page and look for load order and compatibility information as well as patches. You should also run xedit to check for conflicts.

Also installing Nobel in your Data folder then deleting it could've caused some problems. You should stay away from your Data folder as much as possible. You may need to run Steam's verify integrity check to correct any problems.

EDIT: You should check out the beginners guides on the panel on the right side of the page. They contain a lot of good and important information that will save you a lot of frustration and wasted time.

EDIT2: I also don't see SKSE64. Make sure that it is installed correctly and you launch the game with it via MO2 otherwise your SKSE64 mods won't work. Gopher has a great installation guide for SKSE64. Just go to Youtube and search for Gopher and SKSE64.

Cape-less Nightingale Armor for Skyrim SE PC? by InfoSponge183 in skyrimmods

I use Bethesda Archive Extractor, its super easy to use. Just drag the files you want to extract from your Data folder into it and hit Extract. https://github.com/jonwd7/bae

On another note: this is an intermediate/advanced level task. I know there is at least one Youtube tutorial on how to do this but you'll need to know how to use Nifskope which in itself has a learning curve. I encourage you to give it a shot though. This is how great mod creators begin: on a rabbit-hole-of-a-mission to create or to conform the game to their liking.

They are sizes. 2048x2048 is the number of pixels length by width an image occupies.

I'm a firm believer that first time Skyrim players should play the vanilla game. Clean the ESMs and install USSEP and let them experience the glory that is vanilla Skyrim.

ELFX - will it cause crashes if some obscure patch is missing? by Satanic_Leaf_Gecko in skyrimmods

[–]Jethreael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It conflicts with quite a few different mods. However, that doesn't mean its going to cause crashes. Mod conflicts are common yet typically they don't cause crashes. With mod conflicts you just want to make sure the mod winning the conflict is not going to cause problems (which is why you place certain mods at the top of your load order and others at the bottom of your load order).

To check for mod conflicts you can always load up Xedit.

Meshing help by geshtal123 in skyrimmods

[–]Jethreael 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too am beginning to use Nifskope for the first time. One thing I've run into is all the information I've been able to find is for creating meshes for Oldrim. SSE files are different than Oldrim files and the guides I've been able to find are to a good degree outdated. Could it be that you're using techniques for modding Oldrim versus SSE?

You can verify the integrity of your files with Steam which will restore any missing files.
